Thanks, I fitted Decas 36T to then BCD that came with the bike. The BCD is an AI special off set Cannondale designed for the chain line to the rear cassette aligned, as the rear wheel has a larger hub. I think 36T is the biggest that will fit.
I have the monterra Neo 3. I’m looking to put a bigger chainring on to increase it from 34 T to 36 or 38T. Has anyone gone up a size or two. The rear frame is close and a bigger chain ring might rub. Also the spider is already off set to clear it with the 34T, has anyone added a spacer to off...
Whatever they’ve done it’s fixed my problem. I was on tender hooks for the whole 26mile test ride waiting for an error code to ping u, but the motor never missed a beat and felt strong.
Update all the firmware, there are 4 different firmwares including the battery, head unit, gear shifters and motor. Some of them were out of date. Updated the motor firmware to 4.9.0. I had downloaded the 4.8.0 firmware using the E-TUBE app. That’s when my problems started. They updated it with...
Glad you got it fixed. My advice to everyone is to not use Bluetooth to update the firmware using E-TUBE app. Get you local bike shop to do it. Apparently if there’s a WiFi in the area where your updating it, the WiFi can interrupt the Bluetooth connection causing the update to loose a few bites...
E010 error code fixed.
After repeated failed attempts by my local bike shop where I brought my eBike to fix my E010 error code. I had assumed that it was back to Shimano for a warranty repair. Unfortunately the bike shop has now shut down due to an asbestos issue in the shop. I took a chance on...
I’m still having the same issue with mine. Took it out at the weekend and it was fine for 10 miles. Stopped for chat, turned the bike of, restarted it rode for 500 yards and bang E010. Left it for 5 minutes and it was fine for another 500 yards. I need to get it back to Shimano but my bike shop...
400m lol that’s a proper test. The only problem I have is the shop where I brought it from is closed at the moment as it’s in disputes with the landlord over an asbestos issue. You couldn’t write it, lol.
Lol yeah happened to me last week 10 miles from home. The lads took great delight posting photos of themselves drinking beer, whilst I was still in the slog home. ? the odd thing is it’s only been happening since the firmware update.
I think your probably right, I’ve just checked the bike after leaving it for 3 hours and it working perfectly now. So random when the fault occurs. It was fine for 20 miles, rested the bike for 30 minutes and 2 miles after going again error code E010 followed by W013 and then E010 every time I...
Thought I’d cracked it after stripping down, cleaning everything, replacing cables and making sure all the connections are nice and tight. Took it out for two test rides. The first 14 miles, no issues, the second 25 miles. No issues until mile 22 when the dreaded E010 strikes again. There’s...
So after completely stripping the bike down and dropping the E8000 motor out. All three cable connections point where they fit on the motor were loose, proper loose. Guess i've removed the cables so many times the small ribs that hold them in place had warn off. `I also found that the speed...
Yeah that’s what I’m thinking, I’m going to replace some cables with loose connectors and see how that goes. If that doesn’t fix it it’s going back to the dealer.
Yeah I've been reading up on all the issues, I want to eliminate as much as I can, if it still happened after I replace the cables its going back as its still covered by warranty.
I'm having the exact same problem, after updating the firmware in August, 1600 hazel free miles on the old firmware. ed it and realised it I did mine on bluetooth and through that was the issue. My local dealer removed it and reloaded it and done a full diagnostics, all clear and it fixed the...
I've done 1750 miles / 2816 km, and I'm having the same issue at the moment. I'm trying to solve it through process of elimination. So far I've done a full strip and clean of all electrical connections and motor terminals, using emery cloth and contact cleaner. Adjusted the battery mount to...
Cleaned up all the connections, had my local shop reload the firmware and all seemed good for a couple of short 10 mile rides. However today, after about 15 miles the dreaded E010 code strikes again. Back to the shop it goes.
Fingers crossed, I’ll get a speedy response. If I have to wait more than 4 weeks I’ll be asking for a refund. Evans are a big outfit, they may have some clout and be able to push cube for a speedy response.
