Y'all are gonna laugh at me. I figured out the noise.
The airtag that I had stuck to the inside of the frame had broken loose from its VHB tape. It was rattling around in the bottom of the downtube, next to the motor. At least that was an easy fix.
It's true, doing any sort of well controlled experiment is difficult. It's interesting to hear your thoughts on the subjective ride experience, regardless of which one was faster. Look forward to hearing your thoughts on the Albert.
I just picked up an albert for my downhill bike, and I'm...
The trend in the chart above strongly suggests that you simply got faster riding the same track for 6 days in a row.
Even on the same tire, your pace improves day over day. Unfortunately, since tire/day was not a controlled variable, I tend to think that the "slow" tires would have been "fast"...
My bullit has developed a terrible rattle, and I'm pretty sure it's coming from the motor. Has anyone else noticed this? It knocks pretty loudly when I'm sending it downhill. I'm wondering if it could possibly be anything else besides the motor. Headset is tight. Pivot bolts are tight. Shock...
Yep, front and back. The back tire is slightly more reasonable. The front tire is unlike anything I have ever seen, except for motocross tires. I like STEEP loamer chutes, so I'm stoked to try these out. I'll report back when I get a chance to test them in the forest.
I am a little worried...
I don't know. I was trying to edit the post to get the youtube short to show up in the post rather than being a generic link to youtube...
I probably edited the post too many times and caused it to get flagged?
I rode about 1,000 miles on my bullit with a new ep8 motor before this noise started. I never realized how quiet my bike was until it started making this noise when I'm riding downhill. It's driving me insane.
Is this the dreaded ep8 motor rattle? Is there anything else I should check?
Here's...
