What's with these tire sizes ?

Unfortunately he didn’t quiz me, though as a beginner I can only say what I think I’ll want to know, without knowing for sure. I like the 2.6’s so far. I’ve been surprised at how they’ve handled rocks, roots, ruts, gravel, and whatever. I like the stability over agility, at least at this stage.

    Cannodale monterra neo 3

That would be fun. I'm in the Sonora area, so it's a drive, but I see there's lots of good riding in the Folsom area. I should get up to speed a bit first (no pun intended) as I'm a total newbie and don't want to slow you down. :) This is what I've used so far, but it's been mostly pavement and...

What's with these tire sizes ?

This is all interesting as a beginner. When I bought my bike, it came with 29x2.6 front and rear. But the rear was a Rekon, which I already knew from my research that I wanted to replace. The store rep suggested getting the rear replacement in 2.4, and suggested that a narrower rear tire would...

    Saddle

My new bike came with a Fabric Scoop Shallow Sport, and I’m not a fan. It really hurts my sit bones. I went in our only LBS where they had just a few saddles, and the guy sold me this one (Bontrager Commuter Fluid) knowing I was shopping for an eMTB. Now reading this thread I think I should...

    Proper cadence

Years ago when I rode a lot I never really considered cadence. But that was before things like Kiox and apps. (Ok I’m dating myself). Anyway I’ve read that with e-bikes (like with the Bosch Performsnce CX) it’s good to keep the cadence up, like between 80 and 90 for optimum motor performance. Is...

I noticed the weight of the bike on the ups and downs on the trail by Folsom Lake, like going down with an immediate turn to one side. The bike wanted to keep going straight. It’ll tow some practice to learn proper technique. And I havent ridden full suspension til now and I love how it feels...

    Cannodale monterra neo 3

Also I noticed the green does tend to look like mustard in certain light. I’m still good with it though. I thought I was going to get “mercury” but am glad it worked out that I got this instead. The mercury one was a large.

    Cannodale monterra neo 3

Even more aggressive, wow. I haven’t even tried turbo yet, though I used eMTB a bit yesterday up a couple short steep climbs and, wow! If I could name it I’d call it the mountain goat. 😎 The store guy yesterday said he rides one of these, and he (taller than me) usually gets an XL. But for the...

    Cannodale monterra neo 3

I just got the Moterra Neo 3 yesterday as my first ebike. I thought long and hard about it, and thought about a Velotric Summit or Aventon Ramblas (which people seem to love) as well as Polygon, Husqvarna, and GasGas online. Most of the “good” brands with good size batteries, good torque, and...

Hi everyone, newbie here. Just got my first ebike (Cannondale Moterra Neo 3) and first riding in “quite a few” years. I live in the Sierra foothills in Calif and am looking forward to hitting forest roads and trails here in the mountains. But first I need to recover my sore butt (and knee) from...
