Looking to buy a replacement chain ring for the shimano E8000, where in the UK can I get a 34T replacement ? Ebikeshop co uk only help people who purchased their bikes through them. I have googled and can't find anywhere who sells the 34T chain ring.
I emailed hope and they said that all their pro4 hubs should have came with a 1.85mm spacer and that all cassettes would need this spacer with the exception of a shimano road cassette. So despite never running a spacer with the old NX cassette and never having A problem I have decided to order...
yeah, I returned the first cassette and got a replacement as I thought it may have been from a faulty batch, however the replacement is exactly the same. I guess I will need to put a spacer on the freehub body before the cassette. I'll just need to find a suitable spacer/shim, I think I only...
thanks for that, but the movement in this cassette isn't right and I wouldn't ride with it. The old cassette still works for the time being, just bummed that after spending in excess of £120 I can't yet fit my new cassette and chain. I will need to try and source a shim to put behind the...
Replacing out my PG 1230 NX Eagle cassette for the new one of the exact same part. When I fit it to my Hope Pro4 Freehub, there is play in the gears. The lockring is fully tight, I have tried two different NX Cassettes (both new) and they both have the same problem. There are no spacers etc...
Iain, done the wind farm quite a bit, normally start at the Auldhouse end and come out at the main entrance on the moors. We’ll all need to get together, what are you riding?
No worries Steve, I've been off work since last wednesday and only had one good day of weather which was Thursday, was kinda hoping today or tomorrow would be better - I'm a bit of a fair weather cyclist at the moment lol having to store my bike indoors.
Need to get together sometime. Riding solo gets a bit boring after a while. Done the Langlands-Calderglen trail quite a few times. Also do the wind farm, Strathaven and Eaglesham quite often. If you use Facebook, search for me there Raymond Kerr or on Instagram @mondo3074
I'm in the village Andy, normally ride at Cathkin Braes and whereever I can find some offroad routes in the woods etc. Lately seem to be doing more road riding though. I've got a Canyon Spectral:ON, what about you ?
Thanks for the info, I think I'll probably go with the hope fortus rims. I notice you are running clarks 203mm rotors, which CFR model are those ones, still using the standard guide brakes, so I guess these will fit are are cheaper than the SRAM or hope options.
I have the same bike, yours looks awesome. I notice you now have the Hope Fortus rims with Pro4 hubs, did you buy the same 30mm front and 35mm rear wheels ? I am considering buying hope and heard people say that the 30mm wide fortus are stronger than the 35mm ?? Not sure which way to go, I...
Damaged my top tube today, silly mistake resting the bike against a metal fence when it was so windy, anyway I've badly scratched the up tube of the frame, I contacted Canyon to see if there is touch up paint available, just wondering if anyone has ever had to touch up their frames. Its a Matt...
