My previous E8000 ebike had 3 motors. All had that play. None of the motors lasted more than 1400 miles.
My current EP8 bike is still on the original motor and is coming up for 3100 miles. There is no play in this motors crankshaft. Can you tell I'm not superstitious..:)
Hi Matt,
My HS press was no use for this job. The largest press was too small for the bottom cup and, as the cables were still in when I did the bottom, the normal press could not be located in the top.
I used a block of wood at the bottom and a bar with a threaded hole (actually the handle...
You don't need to remove the cables to replace the bottom bearing but you will have to remove the HS cup from the frame as the bearings are not available separately. I had to resort to a drift to remove the bottom cup. The replacement Acros bottom cup includes a new crown race; If you have had...
Lots of foam/soft cloth around the LHS chain/seat pivot. Bike solidly supported horizontally at the pivot. Drift the loosened axle out with increasing force till it moves while turning the Maxle if possible.
good luck with it.
The TTX seems to be a good match for the Zeb ultimate. When it bottoms out it is usually cos I've fucked up and cased something hard, which has happened a few times when i run out of speed/talent pedalling a 25kg bike into a gap :(.
Think u will find it suits the coil.:D
Hi there, the 21 VRX is still impressing at 300 miles and I can now confirm that the bike crashes well ? ? .
WRT the rear spring I'm 85Kg kitted up and a 525LB spring on the TTX coil shock gives me +/-20% sag. I think that spring rate should be good on any make of coil shock for that rider...
Yeah, Lots of new riders coming to emtbs. They are paying £4K+++ for a bike and expect it to work. Problem is the drive trains are all still designed on 1 manpower input and the motors are modified car wiper units.
Motor manufacturers are not helping by taking a "blackbox" attitude with No...
The cup/conical washer is dictated by the caliper. For example if you were using a Guide caliper instead of Guide RE caliper then the cup/cone spacer would not be required.
Yeah, I just checked what I bought, the SB001 mount I bought was from dirthut and was a 180-203. That doesnt seem to be available now. but the mount I linked will certainly be fine for the OP who was looking for 220 mount.
here you go 12 quid..https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Galfer-Disc-Brake-Rotor-Adaptor-Fits-Front-Discs-180mm-220mm-SB001-40mm/123828881633?epid=23022413879&hash=item1cd4c6c8e1:g:xmoAAOSwUWldI16p
Actually, after a post in the SC forum showing how to do this without the special gap tool I did this today. The following notes are relevant for the Vitus.
To make the measurement you will have to fish the end of your tape measure round the side of the bottom mount until you have it straight...
Hi Aaron,
When i first got the bike I heard the battery rattling however it seemed to be tight in its mounts so I just put some foam behind it. That seems to have done the trick.
I have attached the dealer manual showing how to adjust; details from page 43.
Apparently others have adjusted...
You asked about the excessive axial play in the cassette. That should not be there. Either the cassette is coming loose or the freehub bearing is begining to collapse, or both. Easy to check.
Free hubs can make some pretty strange noises when they are failing.
Good luck with it.
Soz, I had it already lying around and cut it down. I needed the collar you see to ensure that the bolt was in tension rather than have the bolt stem back up in the receiving thread. The bolt stem should be the same length, or a couple of mm more than the shock bottom mount. Bolt spec is A2...
