I'd be very interested to see how you got the battery mounted in there securely without the stock hardware. Any pics? Saving 500g is nothing to sneeze at.

I don’t have the will to disassemble the battery retainer today but here’s the cover weight.

230x65 shock installed. A little finicky in this orientation but it works. Hardware sizing for the hive is 10x31.75 for the frame. 8x16mm for the yoke.

I couldn't find that length in a Maxle in 1.0 thread pitch. I ordered one from the Robert Axle Project instead. Lightning Thru Axle

Next question. Is this the problematic axle then? I thought I read elsewhere that it was a different spec.

That’s right, the matte white. I couldn’t decide on a more creative colour so this will work. I simply ordered off their webpage. I did make sure via email that they were sending what was described.

Fresh off the truck. Now the tricky part. Appears to be as described with UDH, Headtube cable routing. Few bits to amass yet and the battery is close behind. Frame weight with cables and battery hardware was as mentioned in another post. ~4.1kgs
