(New to MTB) Looking for help with my Dengfu E10 build

This should definitely be in a different thread. The joy of the build is on life support here 😬. Sorry for my contributions @Zayd Proctor. I am definitely not trying to come across as a hater. I see both sides of this debate but I think we can all agree that getting good support is what matters...

(New to MTB) Looking for help with my Dengfu E10 build

I am not convinced by one photo that this is a widespread issue but even if ignore all of the evidence from other buyers the fact that they didn't warranty that one is enough for me to look elsewhere. I don't want to be the one in 10, 100, or 10000 with the questionable frame when there are...

(New to MTB) Looking for help with my Dengfu E10 build

Fair. I have seen name brand frames disintegrate when pushed beyond their limits so for me more information is needed to make a call on that. However, while I have limited experience working with CF I have worked with fiberglass and I know that in both cases wrinkles and bubbles create weak...

(New to MTB) Looking for help with my Dengfu E10 build

Agreed, in order to keep these manufactres honest we need to hear bad experiences along with the good. We can all decide who we want to do business with based on our own interpretation of the evidence we are shown. I would be less confident in the safety of my frame if it had the visible defects...

That is clearly poor quality work. 😬 Is this a recent problem? They have sold a lot of frames over the last few years. Here is one pic of my LCE930, I have better pics somewhere.

(New to MTB) Looking for help with my Dengfu E10 build

That looks painful! I hope the rider was not seriously injured. Broken carbon frames are not that uncommon, even among name brands. Heavy ebikes exacerbate the problem and having a frame with removable battery, especially with a key lock presents an additional engineering challenge. You only...

I run cushcore on one bike and tannus on the other. Cushcore was a pain.

Welcome! It looks like you are getting some good prices. I have the IIIPro E4 brakes on both of my emtb's now and I am very happy with them. Similar performance to the Shimano's but at about half the price. They use Hope E4 pads and are available on aliexpress. GMBN did a review on them and...

    Lightcarbon LCE930 Custom Build - DV8

Hello 👋 the brakes still feel solid so I haven't attempted to bleed the calipers yet. I also haven't installed the steel cassette body. The riding season is coming to an end here soon and I plan on tearing down and inspecting the entire bike at which point I will be taking care of these things...

    M820 Bafang - LIGHTCARBON LCE930 Frame (lightweight)

It was very frustrating. I haven't wanted to open mine up again to inspect the cables/wiring knowing how painful it could be to get it back together. Once the riding season is over I will though. I filed down and smoothed out the square edges at the bottom of the headset where the cables enter...

    M820 Bafang - LIGHTCARBON LCE930 Frame (lightweight)

I updated from the 10A to 13A firmware and noticed a difference. I only have one short ride on it though. I am interested in your findings.

The final weight is impressive, especially with a 720wh battery. Nice bike!

Good question regarding the bh90. It Seems like you would need it on both ends otherwise you still have the bottleneck. 🤷‍♂️ I will wait patiently for your review on the thicker, taller rotors. Might be a winter upgrade for me if it goes well.

Bafang Go+, is it a new App for all motors ?

Acceleration will have a small effect on battery consumption where max power has a much bigger effect. Once the motor is ramped up it will consume the same amount of power regardless of the acceleration setting. I run my acceleration at the maximum setting. If at the maximum setting you feel...

Bafang Go+, is it a new App for all motors ?

The rate that the motor ramps the power up to the appropriate watts (governed by the chosen assist mode and torque applied to the pedals).

Haha well you tried. I just ordered a red pair for my other ebike. I went with red accents on that one but the purple looks awesome, I kind of wish I went that way but it's too red at this point.

    Lightcarbon LCE930 Custom Build - DV8

Makes sense. Owen wasn't expecting them to be good and could have focused on the negatives, I am glad he was honest about the finish and performance. I thought for sure he was going to dismiss them for the reasons you mentioned above. I have a feeling this video is going to generate a lot of...

    Lightcarbon LCE930 Custom Build - DV8

I watched that this morning! I think it was for the most part a fair review but the knowledge in that comment (that we already knew) overcomes the parts support downside. Those parts are available pretty much everywhere. Hopefully they will test it with metal pads.

Bafang Go+, is it a new App for all motors ?

I am pretty confident it was 0% but it's possible it interpreted 0 as 1, I was doing all the work and making all the noise while the motor silently slept.

Bafang Go+, is it a new App for all motors ?

3.1.0 didn't work for me either but neither did 2.2.0, I had to revert to 2.1.0 to get it to "work". "Work" is in quotes because: TL;DR While Go+ 2.1.0 appears to allow me to set ride parameters they are actually not working. They are saved and when I reload the ride parameters the last...
