    5 broken ribs!

I almost had the exact same accident as you last week- I was riding along not paying attention and foot and pedal strike and I stopped instantly- luckily I ride very slow and I managed not to fall off. Your post came immediately to mind. Hope you heal up quickly!

4 days Old - 9 inches of Scratches

I've got more scratches on my 200km Mondy than I had on my 8000km Merida! Obviously painful to see but the scratches add character! Where I ride is all rocks that are very unforgiving- I must be changing as in the olden days I'd be devastated , now not so much. Obviously I'll take a bath with...

What did you buy your ebike this week?

Put on 160 mm cranks ( down from 165). Where I ride is rock strewn and pedal and crank strikes are more often than I'd like. Seemed a little bit better and I didn't really notice any change. Positive is I had a gnarly injury to my left knee 5 years ago ( Schatzker 6 tibial plateau) and I ( for...

    Mondraker Crafty and Level owners

I used the 99spokes bike comparison a lot. For me ( old and inflexible), high-ish stack and not too long reach were important. You can compare to your current steed. If you're on the borderline, conventional wisdom is go smaller as you can 'lengthen' easier than shorten. YMMV! I don't think the...

    Mondraker Crafty and Level owners

I'm 188 cm ( about 6'2) but relatively short legs and I ride a Large ( Crafty). I have riser bars and a few degree elevated stem. The bike is brilliant- I came from a 2018 Merida e160 900 and the Mondy is heavier but more enjoyable- this could be down to the fact that it's a 29'er ( the e160 was...

Hi, I used to carry my Merida e160 ( sans battery) on the roof of my Abarth 595 Comp. I also rigged up lateral supports using webbing and an attachment to the Rivnut in the door surround. Boost spacing and McGuyvered rear wheel holder! Used maybe 6-10 times. Pickup only, looking for $250 AUD...

I'll also post in For Sale: SeaSucker bike carrier Sydney

When I had my Abarth 595 Comp, I used to carry my Merida e160 on the roof using SeaSucker set up. It actually worked really well -esp as the Abarth has a Rivnut in the door arch so I could use lateral webbing as well. Anyhoo, I've got a Jimny with a towbar, so it's surplus to needs. In Sydney.

    Bosch - Kiox300 helpful note

I believe 'yes' you can- as long as the cable from the motor to the Kiox is long enough- or you move the LED controller closer. There's a youtube 'how to'.I'm also considering it as I don't use any of the features and I don't want to break it!

    HELP!!!!!( wanting-not needing - a new bike)

Well, it was BNBD yesterday- bought a Mondraker Crafty R. Even though I could have had a killer deal on a Cube , I really like a 29" front ( this new bike is a 29er.). Anyhoo , deal done. First ride done. Got up a whole bunch of stuff I couldnt on the Merida e160. I think I prefer the Bosch in...

    HELP!!!!!( wanting-not needing - a new bike)

Introduced myself a week or two ago.I have a well loved 2018 Merida e160 900 with Di2, mulleted, DT Swiss FR1950 wheels and a few other odds and sods. It's got nearly 9000 trouble free kms ( mostly road use- although now almost all off road). I want a new bike. I also like nice things. Should...

    Hi from Sydney

Have been lurking for a while. Currently riding a 2018 Merida e160 900 which has been well farkled ( mullet, better wheelset, Di2 ). Coming from a dirtbike ( and roadbike and road cycling) background, I immediately found eMTBs to be about as much fun as dirt bikes and way less...
