It works well, you can feel the switch and you don't have to look down. The positioning is a bit awkward because it's not designed to fit with the shimano brake lever but it's the best out there at the moment, and it's handy putting the original one on the other side. I thought about trying to...
I can't remember what order I plugged the cables in. It took me several attempts but I have both controllers and the top tube display working. I put the Egro wire through the spare cut out in the side of the frame. Use a fine screw drive at the front of the display and a flap lifts up with a...
Just upgraded to the Ridecontrol Ergo.
Had to buy a Ridecontrol and a Y connecter cable. Reasonable price in NZ, $95 for the ridecontrol and $50 for the cable.
Shifted the original controller to the other side in case the new one gets damaged { it's pretty ugly but easy to use} and still managed...
Hi. I have the same issue, is the new button easier to use and did you think of trying the Ride Control dash. Do you need any extra cables and how do you remove the top tube display to plug it in. Thanks
Interesting point. I am looking at the Focus Jam SL with the Fazua and on the web site it talks about the range extender. Even if you could but one where would it plug in as you have to remove the battery to charge it and there is no charging port.
Thanks, I am trying to learn as much as I can. I have taken the broken charger to an electronics engineer to see if he can find out what has blown and if it can be prevented.
The inverter I use is not a cheap Chinese one, it Epever and was specifically put in so I could charge e bikes.
Regarding Giant chargers. Mine failed so I took it in and the first thing the shop asked me if had I used an inverter to charge the bike. I have just installed a big system on my camper just so I can charge off grid. Seems the Giant chargers don't like inverters as the owner of the shop also...
My charger on my Giant Trance with the Yamaha motor stopped working so I took it in for a warranty claim. First thing I was asked is have you been charging it from a campervan. Apparantly it is a problem only with Giant chargers and they won't cover it under warranty but the shop pulled some...
I had a creak and it was coming from the bearing in the chainstay where the axle goes through. The bearings were rough and after replacing them it turned out to be where the bearings are housed in the chain stay the holes were oval.
Ordered a new chainstay that came with the bearings in and they...
Just received the first one off the production line and it was easy to set up as is stated.
A great idea and as it's have the price of the extender battery and a quarter the price of a second battery [ which you can't buy in NZ] it's a no brainer. Also don't even notice the extra weight. Very...
Hi
Is this something you are selling? I am in Auckland and buying another battery or range extender is very expensive and hard to find. It would be great to have when you decide to do a long ride.
Just joined the thread about your creaking. Have you had it sorted. I have a similar noise and found the bearings in the chain stay were binding. Took it in and they replaced them but it seems the chain stay holes are too small and when the bearings are pressed in they bind up. Has to be bad...
