Hi all, would appreciate links to amazon.de (or at least similar but not US) links to 155mm cranks compatible with the Strive:On gen4 CX.
I found these on bike-components.de e*thirteen Helix Core espec E-Bike Kurbel für Bosch Gen4 / Brose S Mag / TQ HPR50
which look good
Or the same thing I...
I’ve chosen to not use it really. Certainly not with the screen on. I’ll continue to use Komoot or Garmin to navigate my GPX files as and when I need it.
Has anyone bought Miranda 155mm cranks for the bike? I'm sick of the pedal strikes on mellow trails and seriously considering the shorter cranks but unsure which to go for. Am not spending. a fortune on Hope or Forx or PInnd so don't suggest them please (as much as I'd like them)
think about...
Nice! My only experience of MTB in Finland so far has been fat biking (normal and eFatbike) in Sirkka/Levi middle of winter. Will you put spike tyres on the Strive for winter?
Just did this today. All my bolts were tight but I consider it a bit of preventative maintenance and happy I did it. The pictures really helped.
One further tip for everyone. Take a photo of the order that your cables lay inside the tracks and I had one swap over and it was easier to get the...
yeah feeling like it's time to get back to Madeira and ride some dust not the slop and snow here in Switzerland
I'm actually looking at big mudguards for the first time in my life!
Can anyone recommend some good mudguards for winter that suit/fit our bikes?
Maybe we need a group...
I bought the bottom bracket tool (don't know which one off top of my head) and used a 3/8" ratchet connected to that to remove the lock ring. I'd YouTube to find a how to
EDIT:
OK the tools I bought were Park Tool BBT-18 for the lock ring removal
Also the Park Tool TWB-36 so I could use my...
Yeah I’ll try it without screen but that sort of defeats the purpose of having so many “riding display” features in the app. Would rather they just allows Garmins to connect as a head unit instead 😉
Still a fun experiment
Hmm interesting. I actually track my rides using my GARMIN watch. So don’t need to do it on the phone. Still surprised me how much the flow app sucked my battery. Did you have the screen showing all the time? I think maybe that was the issue.
Whole point was I will only occasionally use this e.g. for big days in new areas where I might be following a GPX track I downloaded and need to see it on the phone. Thought I'd see how effective the flow app was. Turns out it's not.
So I'll stick with using komoot for example.
I 100% do not...
I had the cadence and watts screen up. Yes it was tracking my ride though but I didn’t have the maps screen up. Either way strava app can track my ride and not drain battery in 3 hours.
So I thought what the hell let’s see what it’s like to have the flow app running on the iPhone for a ride. I had a quadlock phone case so bought a cheap quad lock out front mount (on sale) to try out.
3hrs and it sucked my iPhone battery pretty much dry. From like 95% down to like 10%...
Yeah so radial could be interesting but I only had problems, granted many years ago, with Schwalbe and so moved on from them. Schwalbe Radials are new and top $$ still, at the moment I can get Kryptotal Enduro Soft (29" F+R) for a cracking good price (30chf) and I love the feel of that tyre and...
Ok folks given the choice what would you run out back on the strive on?
Conti Kryptotal Rear in
- Downhill Soft 2.4” or
- Enduro Soft 2.6”
Note don’t tell me about other tyres. I’m loving these new Contis on my enduro and will deffo be putting them on my strive on. Just not sure DH 2.4 or...
Installed Zefal down tube (DT) XL armour. Hoping this is going to get rid of the horrible pink pink pink sound of the gravel and rocks being thrown up onto the down tube by the front tyre. It’s about 1.8-2mm thick rubber material that is mega tacky to install and deffo nothing like invisiframe...
If anyone is considering a smaller chain ring I gotta say it has made the world of difference for me. Even just going down to 34T chain ring. I can now spin a higher cadence, it’s more responsive on the trail as I can pedal quicker when needed and I was able to keep a higher cadence and average...
