Motorcyclists have an distinct taste for loud machines and speed. That definitely doesn't help with acceptance on the backdrop of the calm of a forest or mountain trail. I have contrasting memories in France of enduring an hour of 2 stroke engine on a picnic in the middle of nowhere, and 2...
Really good article, nice read. My recollection from going there on a rainy day with colleagues a few years ago as a complete MTB newbie was how incredibly tiring the descent were, how impossible it seemed to ride a full suspension bike all the way up that hill (we used the uplift) and how that...
If what's left in the bottle is still liquid, surely what's in the tyre is the same? No?seriously, need to check this weekend, but last time I tried,I couldn't make the tyre budge off the rim....
What's your favourite so far? I am using trailforks on my phone and it's great but on today I got scared the handlebar vibrations would get too much for the phone or the holder and that was distracting.
Nice bike! Stealthy too. I don't mind the assist speed restriction on my fs emtb but on a gravel bike, I fear it would bother me as on gravel trail, thats a more typical speed on mine. I guess it's a much lighter bike so pushing past the 25 km/h limit will have a completely different feel? Have...
I second that, although there is a bit of drag, it's been hard to notice on my first ride on the bike. I did a good 30 min before I found strange that my unfit buddy could leave me behind on slight climbs. Even my wife inadvertently rode with the motor off without complaints.
I do it on cold days to warm up. Getting back to my lighter hybrid bike, I realised that eco mode feels very much the same so that's what I use mostly.
I've used my bike on about a dozen easy outings where I have not pushed hard and have had no tumble. Never pressure washed the bike either.
On my last outing I got the impression the motor was a bit noisier than it used to. Anyone getting the same impression?
Not a lot of playgrounds for this kind of toy in the UK ! I like it though, made me smile. But at the sort of price they mentioned, I'd try to get a Sur-Ron Firefly
I've done the local pootle with my daughter (17yo) recently and the first time we did it was when she was 6 or 7 riding her plastic wheel barbie bike (shame on me for letting that happen) along the thames. Always special to spend some contemplative time with children. Looks like you live...
On my first solo ride, forgot to check tyre pressure, didn't take spare tube, pump or any kind of tool. Had not converted to tubeless yet and of course the pinch puncture struck.
Also left the car window open on the car park and on another occasion, left the house without the...
