Another update:
Today 65km trip, many hills and one mountain pass. Used ECO for 75%, the rest a mix between TOUR(+) and AUTO. I had 38% battery left after 65km. It means i could do 104km on a full battery based on this mix of modes in a hilly area, some steep hills. This was the minimal level i...
The updated software has improved the remaining mileage indication. I had the same, both battery and remaining mileage indications were changed after the update. More accurate.
This has happened to many users. What worked for me was to delete Flow and the Bluetooth link, then re-install Flow and go thru the set-up phase. It worked for me the 2nd time I re-installed Flow. Strange, but as I found on German dealer Youtube channels, this approach was most successful.
Oh sorry, I cannot recall completely. We selected the Modes at the dealer shop (in Bosch dealer software called "Bosch Diagnostic Tool 3", they need to go to section "configuration" in the software), then, after upload, the Modes appeared in Kiox 300 automatically in a logic way (from ECO, TOUR...
Update, after finding this on German bike channels on Youtube. If you delete Flow and the related Bluetooth link to Smart system, and then re-install Flow and reconnect with Bluetooth, I was able to connect again. I had to install Flow twice to reach this result. Not very user-friendly, but at...
I checked it today on "regular" roads, I must say very accurate and easy to follow these "line" navigation indications. Also the screen follows the position/direction of the bike, so it is always a clear path and clear indications when to go left or right.
Update: my wife bought a Specialized bike with 705 Wh battery, so we both put battery on 100% and made the same trip. Some details on the comparison:
A. My bike had luggage and was totally 25kg more in weight (incl myself) than hers
B. She used higher support levels than me
C. We were on very...
Yeah, Bosch is very much protecting their proprietary software. I also find it strange that we cannot select the desired modes ourselves via the Flow App. Luckiky i live 5min bike ride from dealer. But even dealers need some help, so i helped them to find the configuration screen to select the...
You can only get AUTO via update in dealer-shop. They use special Bosch software to allow you to select the different modes.
For me, I decided to not use "Turbo" anymore as AUTO is strong enough. I now have:
ECO
TOUR
TOUR+
AUTO
I mainly use the bike for trekking, so want to get long mileages...
After the latest update, it has become even worse. Flow does not want to connect anymore with the bike. It does find the bike via Bluetooth but then connection fails. Called Bosch, seems I am not the only one.... waiting now for update.
Hi, I tried it, it is like turbo going uphill, so a lot of support, and it gets "normal" on straight roads, but too much for me. So i only use Auto when going on steep hills, and use tour or tour+ for other situations.
Aha, okay, the range indication on kiox 300. Good to know it gets more stable after a few rides and battery charging cycles. Looking forward to your full ride testing trip, i will do the same soon.
Hi, to add to the 750Wh experience, i bought a new bike with this smart system, and had my first ride. Some facts that influence performance
A. I am 95 kilo + bike 27 kilo
B. I drove in a hilly area, some steep hills
C. I used 65% Eco mode and 35% Auto mode
D. I started with 100% battery...
Hola, my first eMTB has arrived and i did my 1st 53km trip, some details below. First, the bike, it is a Winora Yakun 10 (2022 model) with the Bosch smart system, 750 Wh battery and Kiox 300. Winora has no thread on this forum, but it is basically belonging to the same German group as Haibike...
Great to find this forum on emtb, not many are there around this topic. I am new to this, got inspired by the "vias verdes" in Spain, these are old train routes turned into bike routes. What is better than combining nature with sight seeing and trekking. The emtb experience is a keeper for me...
