Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

Have a 9.7 with Shimano brakes which I love. The Code R's on my Heckler just sucked. Replaced with RSC levers and the H2S rotors and much, much better.

Fuel EXe Fuel EXe Suspension Modifications/Questions

Its hard to load a fork when is un compressed so the max fork stroke seems odd to me. If it is some potential thing where you can push it harder due to the extra travel that seems a like a stretch. I run a Fox 38 with 160 on mine. But I am no jumper either.

Pretty sure I don't want that much power. Range, on the other hand, I cant get enough of.

    2022 Santa Cruz Heckler

Arghh. Rode the new bike about 50 miles this weekend. The damn SRAM shifter is single click and you have to push to downshift as well (Shimano you can push or pull) My thumb is really sore (and I am old). Started looking at e shifting to reduce the wear and tear on my thumb. But boy is it...

    2022 Santa Cruz Heckler

Added a lightly used CS29 to compliment my Fuel EXe. Must say that I prefer my Shimano shifting and brakes to the SRAM stuff. Just have to adjust everything to preference and ride it now. No real plans to throw more money at it. Mine has Fox 38 on it.

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

Went to get a firmware update the other day. One of the goals was to hopefully get the TQ app to have functionality in setting up the center button and see what versions I have. Sadly the Android interface just wont let me see these. Have deleted and reinstalled the app with no luck. I swear...

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

Refreshing this a bit. Did a tolerance stack a while back. There are two sources of play on the bolt. The shock bushing and the frame. You cant solve the frame sloppiness unless you match ream everything to a new bolt size. You need to clamp the orange bushing to the frame to reduce the...

Transition Relay Owners how's the bike?

Sorry to troll a bit. The Relay ticks a bunch of boxes for me. Why are these sitting on sale for so long with so much stock? Wondering if they have the updated controllers and motors (if any)

Rode a Santa Cruz Heckler yesterday thinking I wanted a full power to complement the EXe. Did not enjoy it much and walked out with a bunch of money still in my pocket. Then did about 25 miles on the Trek and marveled at how quiet and natural the ride is. Still wish they offered a 60-65nm...

    Other Trek Slash-e Rumors

After almost two years on the EXe I sure wish it put out about 60nm and 600 watts of battery- baby steps.

Fuel EXe New hpr 50 firmware - ammersee

For the fun of it I called the Trek owned store where I bought the bike today to ask if there are any updates that I should know about since I got my range extender maybe a year ago. He asked my what version I was on. I told him that the TQ app does not tell me what version I am on and maybe...

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

I guess I never really contemplated the fact that the main battery has 360 watts or 180 if divided by two. The range extender is 160 watts. When plugged in and fully juiced up the display reads 150% even though 20 watts is missing. What I do notice is that the RE seems to drain at a higher...

Put on a set of E13 155mm cranks a while back (the ~$90 version). Hip preservation mitigation primarily. Easy to spin up and makes you shift a bit more frequently but rock strikes are way down and you can get a bit more drop on the seatpost if needed. Like them so far.

Interesting idea and I am sure it would work. Just need to lash down the plug. Good thought.

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

Nope- the RE takes priority on the drain side and the main battery gets preference on the charge side. The whole 150% thing is a struggle for me as I find myself trying to convert all the time. 100% is just 66% effectively at the changeover. Garmin Connect does not care for it either.

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

No had the chance to drain the range extender several times. The changeover is not great but probably just the way it does business. At full charge on both main and RE the display reads 150%. At about 105% the display starts flashing the green status bar. When you get to 100% its seems to...
