Finally got around to taking off the Bont-trasher tires and putting on Assegai & Dhr2s. The thick rim strip on the wheels made it extremely challenging to mount the new tires. Normally you can just position the tire in the center channel and the tire will go on easy. The rim strip is so thick...
I use Fox's recommended settings and found them to be pretty much spot on. I've verified with a shockwiz. You're pretty much within 1 click of perfect depending on your personal preference.

I find the shock to be...
I've only been able to get it out for a commuter ride as most of our trails are still snowed in. The only difference I have been able to notice so far is that the low speed (under 20W) flutter seems to be almost gone now. I suspect they have also made other tweaks but won't be able to tell till...
I received same email from TQ and had the firmware updated today as well as installed the new TQ app v1.4
I can see max speed assist function, but the app doesn't display the software versions of the different components. Just shows NA
Anyone else experiencing the same?
That's awesome to hear that you're liking the changes. I'm so sold on feel of the coil fork that I'm running it on all of my bikes. 2 marz coil kits and 1 smashpot. Also I find the mid stroke support is way better than air which is really noticeable on the steep jank
Used the Marzocchi recommended rebound settings for my coil rate and seems perfect... Compression wide open which what I usually run being light weight. My sag is about 17% with about 1/2 turn preload just enough to take up any play with the spring.
Thanks for the info... my original plans were to run a Marzocchi Bomber CR coil but there appears to be clearance issues between the frame and the piggy back reservoir. Also the bike maybe be borderline progressive for running a coil. Meaning you likely will need some bottom out control or a...
May be a dumb question but is the lock ring for the chainring right (cw)or left hand (CCW) threaded? I was going to remove the lock ring and chainring to clean and regrease everything. Also is a chain whip needed to keep the spindle from spinning
After reading your post, I've tried it multiple ways. Starting with assist off and also by switching off assist mid ride. Neither produced any drag. My 9.7 was purchased Oct 2022 so one of earlier production bikes. Firmware is all updated.
I ride regularly with no assist for my commuter rides and do not experience drag at all. It pedals like a regular bike with motor off. I seldom engage assist unless I am in a rush. On the other hand I use assist for my climbs when mountain biking but usually only in Eco mode. Suggest you demo
I ride quite a bit with assist off and haven't encountered any drag while climbing on mellow or steep terrain. I bought the bike in Oct 2022 and have put on 750km it
You're not alone. I've smacked my chainring a few times now and I'm running it in high setting. Fortunately I haven't broken anything yet but it seems it's just a matter of time.
I have the 9.7 with Line Comp and was about to buy the parts to upgrade it to 108. But maybe mine is already 108. It does sound like more than 54t when free wheeling. I'm just too lazy to take it apart right now to look. You may have just saved me some $$... Mind you the extra pawls are pretty...
I solved my problem by doing a system reset back to factory default. In the process I ran across a couple of quirks that I would like to share with everyone incase they encounter something similar.
Doing a system reset will result in the bike no longer able to connect to the Trek app. This can...
Anyone else having issues with the Trek app and the display in the top tube being out of sync when it comes to showing the estimated range?
When I power up the bike it will show a certain distance range on the display. Once I connect the Trek app it causes the display range to go to zero. The...
Thanks ... I'll play with the settings and see how it affects it. It definitely was not as frequent when I was riding normally. I have probably about another couple months to recover from my tib fib fracture. I'm just happy to be able ride at this stage
I've noticed the same intermittent muted flutter when the motor is lightly engaged. It's not very loud but only noticeable because the motor is almost silent most of the time. I haven't paid much attention in the past as it doesn't seem to happen when you are pedaling harder. However I noticed...
