Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe - Trying to understand range and altitude possibilities

Good Info. I believe much of my riding will be less than 2,000ft of climbing. I was talking to my Trek dealer yesterday. Here un the USA, we are about 120 days out on a yellow 9.8 in Medium. The other colors do not have a date listed. My dealer has 2 stock bikes coming end of September. I am...

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe - Trying to understand range and altitude possibilities

I am looking at the Trek EXe and what the reviewers are getting getting for range. I am hearing a solid 2 hrs and 4500M of elevation using full power. I would be mostly under mid power likely now comparing this to my last bigger ride I am trying to compare this to my numbers from Strava. 500M...

Fuel EXe TREK's new lightweight trail ebike

Yes, I do need to figure a value on XT stuff.

Fuel EXe TREK's new lightweight trail ebike

I was contemplating a similar idea. I was going to sell all the XT parts for a GX AXS group, GX cassette, but Code RSC brakes and 200mm rotors. Nothing really wrong with XT stuff but I just prefer the SRAM brakes and shifting. I even considered putting the carbon Bontrager wheels on my Tallboy...

    Are carbon frames strong enough?

This sounds like a discussion from 10 years ago on a regular MTB forum. Carbon is stronger. Carbon costs more. How much are you willing to spend......

Levo Gen 3 Considering Comp Carbon vs Elite both need part swaps

Carbon wheels have been good to me. Been on them since 2014. Had enve as well. At least in the non e bike arena, there is more to carbon wheels than static weight.

Levo Gen 3 Considering Comp Carbon vs Elite both need part swaps

Too bad the new display didn’t make it to the alloy. I really am starting to view these bikes as smart bikes. The software, displays, and controls need to integrate and not seem like an after thought. Specialized and the new Trek EXe coming have this going for them

Levo Gen 3 Considering Comp Carbon vs Elite both need part swaps

That is not a huge weight savings really considering the bike is mostly powered. In the full pedal world, that is huge.

Levo Gen 3 Considering Comp Carbon vs Elite both need part swaps

Sorry, I should have said my jumps and drops are 5’ max….when out of town. I understand the weight savings argument. 45 or 50lbs what’s the diff….except wheels. There is more that static weight savings there. I definitely need 32h wheels. I am on 32h carbon wheels now. The one up bars would be...

Full Fat or New Gen Lites

If you were going to buy in the coming months what are your thoughts on buying a full power (Levo) versus the new generation 50-60nm models (New Levo SL, Trek EXe) in the pipeline?

Fuel EXe TREK's new lightweight trail ebike

The new display looks great. Think Mission control. Bar controls got smaller. 360wh battery, 50nm motor. The black looks good with the copper lettering. 4 hr ride time estimate. XT build should be Mid $8k This bike got better than the Levo SL but then again, the Levo SL is getting revised soon(?)

Levo Gen 3 Considering Comp Carbon vs Elite both need part swaps

New guy here. Waiting on a Demo of the Levo which may happen next month on a Gen 3. I may get a chance at a Gen 2 locally as a guy has one. I know there have been many upgrades on the newest version. I ride aggressive XC/Trail, rooted and some rocks. I have been riding consistently for 10 years...

    Hello from Georgia

New to Ebikes but seasoned MTB rider. I currently am on a Sant Cruz Tallboy 4. I am leaning to selling this bike and going full Ebike but may consider keeping it if I sold my Motorcycle. I am mostly looking at the Levo but got a sneak peek at the new Trek Exe from the dealer yesterday.
