Hello Risers:
Last Sat I finally found some time for my second maintenance on the linkage to inspect, regrease and tighten it.
First, let me show what small pebbles did in 3000km:
As you can see, paint in the frame is sanded, the bearing seal was ruined, and the bearing was totally dry.
I...
Hello again colleagues,
Thanks for taking the time to write such quality answers Rod!
Regarging enduro bearings, I am not able to find the 6804 LLU MAX BO SL (solid lube) in my country yet.
On the seal ring kit, I decided to order the 2023 carbon kit. I will report back if it fits 2022 hydro...
Great post @Rod B. !!!
Thanks for takeing the time to produce such a complete and helpful guide.
I inspected my upper linkage after 1 year riding and some creaking sounds last days, and this was really useful. I cleaned and re-greased it following blueprint + this guide.
My enduro 6804 bearings...
I updated my H15 today. All went as described: after successful update with e-Tube app I got a E010 in the display that was gone after power off and on.
It works easier if you use a cable tie to tie right crank to chainring and pedal backwards for some time. I always take some plastic cable ties with me (low weight and can help to fix few things in my routes).
Any chance to apply blue loctite to the axle thread if you have Shimano cone and cup bearings (MT-510B hub)? Maybe that could help. If you have MT410 hub, that one uses sealed bearings if I am not wrong, so different animal.
I just got my MT501, so will give it some time and see.
But yes...
That is right, there's a shortage in components in general these days.
When it comes to the "Chosen" I was told the weak part is the aluminum based freewheel, so they will probably keep rear hub shell and ship a new reinforced micro spline compatible core/freewheel piece in short to solve the...
Well, I finally got a solution through LBS from Orbea: new wheel with AR30 and Shimano rear hub.
Warranty went terribly slow in my view, but worked at the end.

I left charger plugged a few hours today in my Rise H and it behaves as @nrgbod mentions. There is a point where blue light gets fixed 2 or 3h after battery is charged.
I am wondering now if it is better to charge 85 or 90% to maximize battery life or if it is better to leave charger doing its...
I have seen the same behaviour: battery charged 100% when you connect Garmin, but charger still flashing. Reconnecting charger and then blue light is steady.
I think I never left charger for hours after that to discover if blue light comes steady without help :)
I got an interim solution from my LBS (an used wheel from an M20 that has the Shimano MT410 hub) while waiting for warranty on the "Chosen PoS".
I am not sure what will they answer from Orbea, but I am looking for options to rebuild the AR30 rim with a Shimano XT rear hub (about 70/80 Euro) or...
Hi,
Here another no-name POS rear hub that failed after 2 months of use.
Rear hub got stuck a few times and makes a horrible sound when you start pedalling. Let's see how guarantee from Orbea works. If the solution is to replace with a new POS "chosen hub", I might need to look new decent rear...
Yet another simple idea, hoping you find it useful.
Use a portion of an old tire tube and after taking your saddle off the bike, pull it down through seat post to prevent dust and dirt coming from rear wheel to enter inside the frame. Picture attached:
