It's pretty easy to make, just folded flat alloy, drilled countersunk hole. Used concrete anchor to fit into pivot bolt with countersunk style head.
Still haven't got around to making another one yet.
The damper is the same, it makes no difference to the damper performance if housed in a slightly smaller i.d. tube.
The difference is in the airshaft side, 34 airspring will have slightly less volume and will tune the springrate a little different. I think it works well on the heavy ebike as it...
I run a 29er Fox factory Ebike 160mm over the stock 27.5 Fox Performance Ebike fork.
Runs about 65 deg now and the tiny bit of BB clearance doesn't hurt.
I think the actual axle to crown increase was around 15mm from memory.
The rubber pad ended up being too much drag on rocks and trees, I just run quite a few layers of strong reinforced tape over the plastic guard now. The chain guide is just a bent piece of flat alloy, just experiment, not too difficult. The bolt is just a cement anchor that expands to hold in...
Just smear a bit of silicone in the right spot will stop noises.
I have had a few Rockshox forks without torque caps on my wheels, takes an extra couple of seconds to align, no big deal.
I think they are a bit of a gimmick. I understand the idea but if they were really after more torsional...
I found they had a little clearance on the wifes Merida but were tight when fitted with the axle tight. Are yours loose with the axle tight?
The whole purpose is to create a bigger surface area so should definitely be tight.
The Troy lee is just foam, does the job but pricey for what it is. I have the Leatte 3df lite, love it. Buy a size down to keep it a tight fit. Just bought the fox pro armour for my son, pretty light and minimal but the slim fit with 3df type pads and a spine protector. He is very happy with it...
Had almost identical problem.
Turned out to be moisture in charging port according to the shop and Shimano Australia. Not much and apparently it doesn't take much to cause it. I have since filled it with dielectric grease. Charger still works fine but hopefully it repels any moisture. Didn't...
Yes weight makes a big difference, I'm 20kg more than you.
Biggest ride was 1700mtrs and 75kms being VERY conservative on eco, trail for a few pinches, no boost. But I do a lot of self shutting local DH trails so only get 1/2 a day of shutting, would like more and would like to be able to do...
