Brakes was the first thing. Went to 220mm rotors. Huge gain in braking. Blew the seals out of the rear shock, sent back to Fox. Blew it out again. Fox swapped it out with a coil shock. Much better ride. I highly recommend doing the same. Longer dropper post. The next one is going to be a wheel...
Bought a RM Altitude new in 2022. Absolutely love it. Gets me places I wouldn’t be able to go anymore with my bad knees. Keeps me out on the trails longer too. After a few upgrades that I needed to do it is perfect. Well almost. One more upgrade soon to be taken care of but you will not be...
My 2022 came with XT brakes and has the banjo style fitting at the caliper end and the olive and barb at the lever. I would think they are all like that so should be an easy swap like DrChris said above
Serial number is on the bottom of the frame under the BB or crank bearings if you like.
As for being hard to pedal yes. It is an emtb. There is more drag when not assisted by the motor so it will be more difficult to pedal with motor off.
I’ve had my Rocky for almost a year now. No issues whatsoever. Haven’t seen or heard of many either. This forum has been full of issues with the other brands of motors tho. Could just be the popularity thing as there are more Shimano and Bosch powered bikes out there
I am usually fine but occasionally it doesn’t want to start so I first try turning it off then back on. Usually doesn’t help so I just do a calibration and it’s good to go. No issues 80-90% of the time but a recalibration fixes it every time so far. Good luck!
I would suggest that you just ride it. Try turning it off then on again. Multiple times if needed. Calibrate it. Multiple times if needed. Give it time to sort itself out. I had a couple similar issues in the beginning but is fine now. Get into the habit of calibrating before every ride. Put it...
After severe soreness in forearms and hands on my hardtail I went with the OneUp carbon bars and new ergo grips. Problem solved. When I bought the Emtb in March I was experiencing the same pain. Bought the same bars and grips and no pain now. OneUp says their bars have ‘flex points’ crafted into...
I am a bigger guy and picked up a Rocky Mountain Altitude Powerplay and I am loving it!
By all means listen to what people have to say and do your research by reading reviews but make sure you get out and test ride all the bikes you can.
There is a lot of info out there but just remember to...
Been riding my 22 A70 here in BC for a few months now. All the little issues people talking about from my experience will go away. I think out of the first 10 rides I might have had it act up 3 times and a quick calibration took care of it. Haven’t had an issue since. One thing to keep in mind...
Picked one up at LBS a few weeks ago. I have spent more time fiddling with it than riding it but it is getting to where I want it to be with a couple mods and fitting almost done. Going out in a few minutes to get some more seat time and to make minor adjustments if needed. The power is awesome...
As the title says I just picked up a new Altitude last week. Took a couple demo rides a couple weeks ago. Sat at Hartland and Sunday at Tzouhalem. Climbing ability sold me. Went to my LBS after the weekend and took ownership of the new ride.
Being a fat-ass (or ‘Clydesdale’ as some call us) I...
Not really sure about Malahat/Goldstream area. Well I guess part of the TransCanada Trail kind of goes through there but haven’t ridden it. Yet. Lots of other trails within 10-15 minutes of where I am so lots of ebike exploring to do! My bad knees pushed me towards this latest purchase and so...
Hello everyone. I’m Steve and just purchased my first emtb. Took one for a test blast a couple weeks ago when Rocky Mountain brought demo bikes through the region for test rides.
Looking forward to getting out and learning on here as well as providing any info/ideas I may have.
Almost ready to...
