Ciao Gary, you make me smile all the times!! I'm 32 now but in past i did some races, probably without doing what you call cat1. I don't think i need to be a world champion to push 34x10 because with road bikes i was pushing much harder gears and i never won anything. You should understand...
Ok I got it. So funny because we talk a lot about possibility to reduce sprockets and before I didn’t imagine we can have so many choices. Anyway I’d like to mantein a decent number of gears…
did you know if you have sensor or torque? Could be that is not working properly, I had same issue with rear hub long time ago. I think if you switch with mid motor you could have better feelings
singletrack is crazy😂never said i’m able to do it. I’m talking when I’m commuting to work on asphalt.
And with 90 rpm I reach only 24mph with 34x10.
When I started cycling with road frame I was much incline to spinning higher rpm but I learned how to control myself and stay on 90 wich is better...
I know it Gary, the fact is I am able to push even more that 10x34… and When I’m not I’m searching for more close gear ratio in the last part of the cassette…. Which is the part I stay more, even on the hills.
Ciao, actually i have 34 chainring and of course this affect all my 12 sprockets. I choose to get a bargain deal to get the focus thron 2 6.9 version second hand not only for the shimano drivetrain but for the better sospensions and brakes… I can say I found 12v on it for free and I found Xt...
What if i try to install this 12 sprockets from Sram with XDR HUB?? The gear ratio is perfect 10-36 !!! https://www.gambacicli.com/it/sram-rival-xg-1250-cassetta-pignoni-12v.html?gclid=CjwKCAiAjoeRBhAJEiwAYY3nDAyiaAWEB0T8mxwQeAnQIDx961DP4C5Osnos2IlZmJa3gyL172gzQxoCwZUQAvD_BwE
Ciao, i finally think your idea to go with 10 gears cassette is the best solution to obtain gear ratio i'm searching, i found the conversion kit we was talking, but i still don't understand if i will be able to install road cassette on it... Upgrade Kit Ratchet LN for Freehub
unfortunely seems the max combinations i can get with 64 mm holes for the internal chainring is only 28, probably i'll could find 30 but is not what i'm searching...
actually i have slx shimano 12, i understand what you mean and onestly i never use the first 3 sprockets, could be ok using 55 mm of chainline with a chainring with 55 chainline?
Hi to everybody, just few days ago i had this crazy idea.
All it was started from my desire to have longer gears and optimizing chain wear caused by the fact i stay most of the time of the last 4 sprockets.
Thx to this forum i discover i could be able to fit a 36 chainring but looking the gear...
Ciao Dixie, thx for your work because maibe i will get the possibility to install the 36 on my focus Thron2 . Could i ask you what you mean for two thin washers? Did you have some pics? What is the final chainline did you achieve? Because i found a 36 chainring from raceface which have 55...
