This headset is driving me nuts with all the creaking, I've replaced it last year (the lower part), now it seems I need to replace it again.
I've been reading the posts with the various solutions, especially with the Wolftooth spacer but I don't really like it.
If I replace the headset with one...
@Zaskar20 I was thinking of putting it (stl or actual part) up for sale but ditched the idea, mainly because I'm lazy :) .
It only fits a Sram boost chainring because of the 6 mm offset makes a curve on the chainring where this slots in.
If you are interested (and have an Sram chainring) I'll...
I have recently got a Cube Reaction Hybrid and the the chainring got completely loose (while riding) so I have designed and 3D printed this contraption.
Seems to be fine after 30km, worse case scenario it will act like a warning, zipties broken = time to re-tighten the locknut.
@JockG can you please post some pictures how the wire for the rear light is routed out of the frame and into the mudguard channel? I have just installed the Acid mudguards and I'm planning to add lights as well. Thank you.
The answer is that it comes with BOOST chainring, you can can identify it by looking on the backside, it has "BOOST" engraved to it.
From my experience I can say it does, I have bought a 34T chainring, 4 teeth make a huge difference, I also have a Scott Ransom eRide that has the same 29+ wheels...
I have recently bought a Cube Reaction Hybrid SL 2021 and I want to change it's Sram X-Sync 2 Eagle 38T chainring (see image) with a smaller one 36/34T because I'm fat and I live in the mountains and I don't want to strain the motor/transmission when going uphill.
The problem is that I do not...
Well, the rattle seemed to be headset which got f*cked on a minor crash. That really annoyed me, I bought a new headset but, since I packed the old one with grease it's not making so much noise and I'll probably replace it over the winter.
Regarding the battery issue, I have tried various ways...
After 6 months of using the Kiox I must say that I love it, the most annoying part is that you can easily knock it of the support if you hit it just right :) but I never had it come off while riding, just when pushing/carring the bike.
Thank you for the info, but I have no Scott (or other ebike) dealers within reasonable driving distance and that tool is over 100euros which seems a bit much for what it offers.
Is there another way I can do this myself? Or maybe a DIY version of that tool?
I have a Scott Ransom eRide 920 2021 bought in December, this weekend I went to an enduro training camp and have been doing lots of jumps and lots of technical stuff that I haven't done before.
Sunday I noticed the battery began to rattle, since I have bought the bike I noticed that the lock hub...
Hello,
I've been a big fan of Shimano until I had to replace 3 motors for 2 ebikes and, even then, I have preordered the new Merida e-one sixty but when the importer said (after 3 months) there is no clear delivery date and there was a very good offer on the Scott Ransom eRide 920 I switched...
Hey, I haven't got the time for this, I "solved" my issues by replacing speed sensor, battery harness, cables, display and finally the motor itself. And, out of frustration, I ordered the 2022 Merida eOne-Sixty with the EP8 Shimano motor, talk about Stockholm syndrome! :-)
Hello, I have 2 dead motors with error E01020 and 1 about to die with error W013 (you can read the whole drama here).
Now my idea is to replace the torque sensor of the motor that has the W013 with one from the other 2, will this work?
Is there anything I should keep an eye out for? I haven't...
So, now I have 2 motors irrecoverably dead with E01020 error and one about to die with W013 error, my idea is to move the electronics, the main board OR the torque sensor between one with the E01020 and the one with W013.
I didn't open any of them until now, which do you think it would be easier...
So, after a 20 mins ride (the dog ran away and I had to chase him uphill) Friday the motor died today after 1h ride, at least it had the decency to die almost on top of the last hill.
The error today was E010, then W013, then E010 which I cleared with ST Unlocker by changing the chairing size...
So, I've resurrected the motor (again), it's still spitting E01020 errors BUT if I restart the bike the error is gone which means I'm getting somewhere :).
It appears that downgrading the firmware, first to 4.8.0, then to 4.7.1 makes it a bit more "error" friendly, now the bike works, question...
