Hey crew, just chasing any info on lead time and possible hold ups on warranty job of my e8000 motor, came up with e020 error, then w020 , then e010 motor then shut down and bike never started again, shop done diagnostic on it cleared error, but still non responsive to start, plugged battery...

I for one, if my e8000 is bricked, will be looking at the retro fit of an ep8 into my Norco sight vlt that and swapping the fork out for a 29er, should actually put my 2020 model back up to spec with the lastest trends in the ebb world 😂😂

I upgraded last weekend, had no issues with my motor until upgrade, first down hill I hit e020 followed by e010 then w020, then it bricked. My motor is 5months old never been anything but factory settings, now in shop, telling me it’s a possible engine replacement job.

Epic motors in Australia bolted a ep8 straight into an older 2018/19 Merida 160 was a straight swap. Shimano aren’t going to tell you this as if that’s the case, we’d all just buy $1500 motor upgrades

I did, but over here in Australia they start at $9000. I ended up with a Norco Sight vlt C2 27.5 2021 model (has the upgraded spec with lyric over yari fork and the sram guide Re over the e brake) super happy with it. Like it more than the 29er Norco bought out ( test rode back to back)

Yeah that’s the one!! It’s the 2021 still got the e8000 motor, when you say firmware to you mean e-tube, or Eplus the one that unlocks the speed limiter?
