Not sure if their still doing it but Dales Bike Centre used to do unofficial rides on the 1st Sunday of the month. I’ve joined them a few times on my normal bike, haven’t seen anyone on ebike in the groups though so might be worth a call.
Although, if your from the lakes area, you may be a...
I have the 2019 carbon MIPS version. I wouldn’t say it’s particularly light.
I use it for uplift / DH days as i find it far too warm to pedal around in. It is comfortable and does offer a LOT of protection.
I also have the proframe Neeko mentions this is better suited for pedalling around in but...
Once you know where the trail will begin and where you want it to end, we found it best to scrape out a short section of trail then ride it, the more it’s ridden the more compacted it becomes.
Ideally start with a good down slope to get speed going then traverse the hill, use berms on steeper or...
Not sure how feasible this would be but what about a battery extender insert. Something that would extend say a 500wh battery to the same length as a 625, appears fairly simple in principal.
or a Kiox mount for the top tube using Velcro straps or zip ties to hold it in place or maybe...
Personally I couldn’t care less for strava times, I’m far too slow to worry about them! and I don’t need a number to tell me that.
I just question some peoples ethics, cheap kicks n all that.
Taking enjoyment from deliberately upsetting other people?
Why not just jump in the car and obliterate all the KOMS?
You guys certainly know how to enjoy yourselves eh.
Might be the only way you can get a KOM or be on a leader bored but you really need to get a life!!!
Haha, it’s a bit of both.
S/M fits my short legs well, I have room to move between my man bits and the top tube (when stood on the floor) but reach was a little short so I put a slightly longer stem on it, ideally I would have had a longer stem but didn’t want to mess up the handling so I...
I am 172.5 with short legs (73 inside) and went with s/m, stand over is perfect but I found it a little short on reach so put a slightly longer stem on.
A friend has a large and I have no stand over. By stand over I mean when stood on the floor not the pedals.
Hey, if it helps, I’ll withdraw my tentative commitment, doesn’t seem fair to take a space up with a “maybe”, not if there are a few definate’s missing out.
??
besides, I prefer knickers on my head :/
Park up in Thornton le Dale, have a short ride through to Dalby visitors centre or pick up the red route at section 30 (I think).
Spend the hard earned cash you saved on beer and food in the village.
when I started riding Dalby it was £2 in an honesty box, this was to help maintain the forest...
On top of what Mteam has said, my bash guard has a strap that goes around the lower part of the cover and I use an additional Velcro strap near the battery key slot. No rattle and added security for the battery.
I forgot the straps one time and the rattle was so bad I thought my bike was falling...
Hans ‘no way’ Rey?
Well....
That’s some effort!!
But Is it possible to ride up from the bottom? From the stream upto the gate is rock fest. I don’t enjoy riding down it one bit, can’t contemplate riding up.
Not been over to the peaks this year and normally ride early to at least get a head...
Up Jacobs Ladder? ? ouch. Is it even rideable up?
I think that route is much better reversed.
One of my regular routes from Castleton:
Broken road up to Mam Tor pass.
Up Rushup Edge to Roych Clough - Mount Famine - Coldwell Clough.
Then either drop into Hayfield - Kinder Res - Edale Cross or...
that’s how I meant it. Over graded (without meaning to be derogatory).
That sounds like the stuff Steve, everything had to be rollable but with speed you could get a good bit of air. It was fairly tame to the other stuff we built.
My balls have shrunk some since those days!!
We built some sanctioned North shore trails/features in Pines many years ago as a side project from what we were doing at Mkt Rasen. It was opened by Steve Peat. I think the pines group took it over.
My how the years have passed.
I agree with you about Dalby, the red is a drag with a lot of...
