Thanks! Thought there must be an obvious reason I was missing. Yeah I did my last one with my track pump, but it ended up literally taking a whole day, haha.
I think I'm going to opt for one of those chambers you buy that you can inflate to 140psi with a track pump, I don't want to keep buying...
I don't want to go into much detail so others don't take advantage, but rest assured if you ever buy NEWMEN products the 3 year warranty is superb and the customer service (based in Germany) is second to nothing else I've experienced.
Just wanted to give them a huge shoutout and reassure anyone...
I have had mine for about 18 months or so, not sure about if its worth x amount, if you can afford it and you want the upgrades then it's worth it... I know that I don't really push the bike more than about 60% of its capabilities, but I could afford it and would rather have more than I need...
I can vouch for the mudhugger, I just keep it on most of the year, completely prevents my back getting dirty, and stops the dropper post getting covered too, great mudguard.
Hate to to be "that" guy but, autumn literally began today. Winter is 3 months away..
I'd add that make sure you've got a mudguard if you take it off during the warmer months, can get mud into unruly places if you ride without one sometimes...
Maybe if you've spent a bit on your shoes, an...
The last paragraph says to me, that the marketeers have won.
For a "several thousand" you should get the right spec and not feel like you need to "spend a bit more" get the top of the line version. The bikes are too expensive.
People have an issue with the price because its too expensive, even taking everything into account. Its as simple as that.
It has nothing to do with being able to afford it or not, there is value for money at every price point in my opinion, even high end
And speaking about Mercedes A-Class...
Is this only for praising the bike? I think the actual frame design itself is COOL as hell, the Stumpjumper looks incredible in my opinion, and I bet it does ride like a complete beast!
Originally I thought these were quite expensively priced, but now they are venturing into bargain territory.
Love the Eagle XX1 look..
What are we supposed to be discussing in here exactly?
Yeah, personally I think the comments about mobility scooter were quite accurate, to me the motor housing looks huge compared to 2018 bikes and downright hilarious compared to some of the proposed 2019 models.
But, people will pay the premium for the brand name.
insert whichever smiley you...
You haven't really addressed any of the points though Rob. That was just one bike, there are plenty of different and varied designs all around 30% cheaper than the 2019 Levos, all offering vastly superior components.
Paying for looks is fine, but paying 3k extra for looks? Come on... surely...
I am not disputing those all took r&d and a lot of time and effort went into it, but other companies are using the same motors and making sleeker looking bikes with better components, and charging 30% less. I am sure it rides really well, but its too expensive for what you get.
