It is not only Treks. My Focus Thron has the same issue. It is very frustrating on long slippery climbs or up stairs.

The Focus has a disc mounted speed sensor as well. How do you swap from the disc to a rim mounted sensor? And why would some disc mounted bikes work and not others?

Sad Face... I updated too and the walk mode is still not functioning. Just as useless as before. It moves a metre then slows to a snails pace, then normal for another metre repeat. It is a 3 hour drive to my dealer and they are not sure they can fix it.

Inside the settings which are accessible by the dealer it is possible to adjust the walk assist mode. I am hoping they will be able to rectify things. Maybe... The fault isn't with the speed but the starting and stopping.

I often do long uphill trudges. When our fire trails get too wet, or for that matter too dry, traction is the issue. Once traction is lost it is hard to start up again. Much easier to walk it. Unless you have a shitty walk assist like on the Bosch. With "hill hold" it would be much better to...

I carry a PLB and have done for years. Motor bikes and MTBs cause I usually ride on my own with little or no mobile coverage cause they are the fun places to be. I have never used it and hope I never will. I am allergic to bee sting so the PLB is with my Epipen.

The rims are 30-622 vs 25-622. I have been told by the dealer that it won't fit. I haven't got access to the rack to check. If it was a matter of tyres only I would gladly swap them over.
