Hi Guys, some help/advice please.
So, thinking of a ebike hardtail ideally but mostly for commuting which is a bit hilly and will take me through a few parks, with access to some singletrack, probably 70/30 road/gravel/offroad stuff - ideally want it to save me a bit of time on 10 mile each way...
great thread and some advice if possible please - I've got a whyte e160 and it's a great bike - I'm thinking of a spec keveno sl - I like really techy climbs, and downs - normally ride everywhre on the whyte in trail mode - Would a kenevo SL be OK for the type of riding I like? I had a very...
Thanks for link - from those stats probably makes more sense with another 625w - not much difference in weight between that and the 500 - Shame Whyte havent built in a piggyback system

Thanks for the replies everyone - all very useful and helpful. I dont really want to spend the money on upgrading and would rather try and make them work so I'll take all the above and see how I get on.
@RustyMTB - when you say you "advanced" the pistons ? how did you do that please?
thanks...
Yeah, tried that, they are ok at the start but when I'm into the ride and looking at coming down a long decent they just feel vague and I dont have any confidence in them really. I think because the bike is heaver than analogue I'm braking a lot more in advance and for longer. When I've...
Hi Guys, Whyte E160S - it come with SRAM Guide RE 4 pot - I'm finding them pretty spongy and vague on long downhills - and well I need brakes I can trust especially being a very average rider :) so I'm thinking of the Hope tech3/e4 brakes as I've tried a mates non ebike with them and they feel...
Is there enough at Ikley for a full day do you know?? I've been trying to find a few routes etc but nothing showing up, found a trails on trailforks but only a few short ones..
Good to hear - I'm similar re the drops and also want a bit more support for the faster rocky downhill sections - pity I have to work this week as I might not get a chance to test until next weekend now!! - Need to invest in some decent lights now :)
Wasnt sure myself if the extra for the RS and Fox was going to be worth it - TBH I'm glad I stuck with the S as I'm more than please with the Rockshox - faster colour as well always helps ;)
Yep comes with 2 from factory - I've added one of the spares and going to be doing to comparison next...
Perfect thank you sir - I'm just logging onto the trailhead.rockshox.com as we speak :) - Thanks for the help.
By the way - really pleased so far with the fork - few tweaks and all should be good - cracking bike.
Cracking thanks for the reply pal. Makes sense thanks. I wasnt sure if the tool was supposed to be in the box with the bike or not.
I'm going to add one, currently feels too plush so worth playing around with.
Thanks again. Mo
