For those interested who have bought hope cranks and were disappointed that they don't come with dedicated protector boots, the race face alloy versions fit pretty well.
Same here although mines 2 to 24nm.
Had it checked by the calibration guy who comes to do my Snap-On ones for work and it was out ever so slightly but was really easy to adjust.
The H & L markings are correct, as you are effectively increasing the eye to eye length of the shock. The hole needs to be at the front (H) to make the yoke further from the point where the shock mounts to the frame.
The one thing I've always found strange about the Bosch motors is the way they fasten into the frame compared to Shimano for example. The small aluminium plates don't seem very sturdy and I've had similar concerns over the proximity of the chain ring to the chain stay. I'm running a hope...
I don't think it's negligence, they just don't need the added hassle when they can sell goods to loads of other countries with no additional complications.
Bike 24 have stopped shipping to the UK so I emailed to ask why and they replied blaming brexit and Covid. They said they would look into ways to resume UK sales. This is a shame as they were cheaper than anyone else and more importantly, have stuff in stock. They also delivered quicker than the...
There are two brass threaded inserts either side of where the wiring connects on the battery. 4mm thread. I screw a long bolt into one of those to use as a pull handle to lift the battery out.
It will be easy to fit, I would recommend using a torque wrench as they are alloy components/ threads. The only awkward bit is if the eye bush needs replacing.
I'm disappointed that it's not the same colour as the original as its the only thing on the bike that is that colour so I might get it painted to match.
The 12mm bb increase is unladen don't forget, so once you're actually weighting the bike its going to sit into its travel. As for head angle, I'm old enough to remember 150mm stems and bars so narrow you had to run your levers at different angles. In comparison, modern geometry bikes are so...
£70 seems a bit pricey for what it is. I was going to have a go at doing something along those lines myself with an offset bushing. At least this will keep the warranty intact.
I called in at my LBS to see if there was any news. The guy i spoke to has seen one and its basically this-
With some kind of flip chip at the shock mount. Still no idea when it will turn up though.
Or as i often am, 'Baht owt'!!
Anyway, with regard to access and if you could make a day of it, there is only one legal right of way over the moor which is a byway i think but there is an unwritten ruling with Bradford council who own the moor to allow pretty much open access. This came about...
