A bit more crowded but very nice area - Ötztal in Tirol, Austria. Lots of flowtrails in Sölden and a brilliant hiking area in the villages Obergurgl and Vent not far away.
These were exactly my thoughts when I read the article about the weight of the worldcup downhill bikes. There seems to be a sweet spot concerning the weight of a bike for downhills.
I agree to a certain extend. For me that is roughly around 20 kg with the weight down low. A full fat with 25 kg felt like a tank to me - didn‘t like it. Maybe because the big battery in the downtube is not the place where you want to have the weight - the bulk of the weight should be in the BB...
Happy Levo Sl owner here. I definitely prefer an e-bike that is close to my normal Enduro bike - don‘t like the tanklike feeling of a fullpowered EMTb on the downhills. I also like the modular approach - fixed Akku and range extender if needed.
This is what I‘ll have to find out. I would only remove the battery if I‘m on a bikepark trip that lasts for a week. I‘m doing that at least once a season - no uphills whatsover and chairlifts or cablecars all over the place. Not sure if it makes sense though to use the Levo Sl instead of my...
Just for interest - has anyone tried the Levo Sl without battery in bikeparks with chairlifts and cable cars? I have an Enduro bike for these circumstances but I really like the way the Levo Sl rides and I wonder if there is big difference to a normal bike if you ride it downhill without the...
Not that strong - it comes down to personal preference. But in S5 I think the longer chainstay setting make absolutely sense. And that‘s the brilliant thing with the Levo Sl - you can try a lot of settings and choose the one you prefer, be it chainstays, headangle or bb height.
At your height I would definetely use the long chainstay position even in a mullet setup. I am 1.85 on a S4 und ride my Levo Sl as full 29er - my preferred setup.
I did some reasonable back to back testing between the stock mullet and full 29er setup this weekend.
My background - 185 cm/ 79 kg on a Levo Sl size S4. My normal bikes have been full 29er since 2015 so I am maybe a bit biased. I used the same tires (Eliminators) on both setups - but different...
I‘ve been using my first e-bike for a couple of weeks now and what I can tell I am riding my far more often than with my normal Enduro bike. I usually go to bikeparks or shuttle assisted trailcenters with my normal bike and didn‘t do lots of climbing the last couple of years - that changed with...
I joined the LEVO SL club 3 weeks ago - my first e-bike. I‘m really impressed by the bike - it‘s so much fun to ride. I tested the Levo SL ,the Trek Fuel Exe and the Trek Rail - and it became immediately clear, that a mid - powered E-bike is the right tool for me. Deciding between the Levo SL...
