As an ex moto guy I like it, but my mtb side is concerned about more backlash if emtb's resemble motorcycles more.
Sure looks like a polished unit, almost pre production. Nice tidy drive, good to see another potential alternative system to the current crop.
Generally it's only the last few...
Perhaps consider Microshift's 9 or 10 speed Advent drive trains if you are willing to swap in an HG freehub. Did both of our 12 speed bikes, 11 speed I left alone (for now).
Cheers.
Maybe it's just the photo, but your fork angle looks far steeper than 63 degrees. Couple that with riser bars rotated forward, sitting on a raised saddle instead of saddle dropped or being behind it? Perhaps a perfect recipe for too much weight on the front while descending, causing the fork...
Probable the wrong person to use as a reference to bar/seat height. I run my bars very high with lots of back sweep.
I have the Decoy, daughter an Orbea Rise, as of yesterday son has a Rocky Mountain Instinct Powerplay (found one at 30% off). FWIW I would think long and hard about buying a...
Different school of thought for sure.
Definitely good pricing on the Decoys now. Curious how they handle the E050 faults on mine.
I did price out a Fezzari in the past and it wasn't competitive once the shipping, duty, and taxes into Canada were factored in.
Cheers.
The geometry of the Decoy was the main reason I bought it. The large is perfect for me at 6' with a 34" inseam. Personal opinion, but "longer reach is better" is going to go the same way as "I can't get chainstays short enough", "100mm stems are great" and "boy, that 1.9" tire is big" ideas...
Like my Decoy, but...

A search didn't show this being an issue with any other manufacturer's EP8s. I believe YT uses their own variation on the software.
Cheers
Thanks for posting this Ben.
I've had it come up twice on my Decoy, similar situation to yourself. Very low speed technical riding.
Rep. at YT advised that there are some Decoy magnets not quite tall enough. Not sure if this explains why it has only come up in the only low speed riding in...
Glad you got it sorted.
Along the same lines, I recentlty changed the chain on my bike from KMC x10 to the e specific model and experienced the chain skipping afterwards (re used the cassette). Increased the chain wrap to eliminate it.
Cheers.
Good idea Kanitfastan, thanks for posting!
I had no skipping issues with my bike (YT Decoy 29), 2000 km on chain and cassette, B tension set as per Microshift. Chain had no measurable wear when removed.
Today with a new chain, same brand but e specific, skipping. Had to adjust B tension to...
Hi Wenna, I am (was) in a similar situation to the one you are in.
Former enduro rider, also used MTB's (since forever :)) to cross train for racing. Multiple past leg injuries to lead to final stage arthritis, which had kept me from my MTB (Banshee Titan).
Purchased an Orbea Rise to try to...
As the warranty manager suggested it's unlikely rivet related. Some complete cassettes are an assembly of loose cogs and spacers with the free hub splines aligning the all the cogs, just like the three smallest on the Microshift. It would be great if Microshift sold all the individual cogs...
Funny old picture for sure, but the human body hasn't changed much since the 70's. Mert Lawill had a little experience setting up two wheelers.
Maybe I'm trying to justify the stack of handlebars sitting on my shelf, but it seems like a small outlay to make an expensive bike potentially more...
