Have not looked at the trek rail.. seems a very popular bike, I personally have a focus sam2 but it tends to be more of a bike park toy rather than what your looking for I think
Well done guys it’s always really satisfying when you nail a new feature, but as we all know they can be pretty scary and intimidating at first, especially if you haven’t seen any one else do it
Really interesting read mate, I’ve been really lucky tbh I’m only 155lbs kitted up and and currently just run stock spacers and 150psi and it’s felt amazing
I’ve just recently changed to mullet also and left in the 29 mode to lower bb, wow such a difference to handling!! Really surprised me, absolutely love this bike !!!
Well just in case anyone is thinking about doing it …. It’s great 👍 I’ve changed to mullet and the bike is more nimble feeling even at slow speed, it’s how the bike should have came for me
@ChillyWilly I’m going to change my sam2 to mullet as well and keep it in the same high position to slacken the head a little , will that mean I still need to change the calliper adapter and shorten then chain ? I’m assuming not as the rear hub will still be in the same place ?
Wow great detail mate really appreciate it, I’m currently trying 48psi with stock token, and surprisingly rebound as fast as it goes, I’m certainly not as quick as yourself but I like to be aggressive in my line choice rather than smooth, it’s all about the smiles rather than the times for me...
Hey guys looking at trying mullet set up on my focus, thinking of trying a nukeproof horizon v2 rear wheel for this as its seems great value , any one else used these on ebikes? Are the hubs durable when matched with the steel sram pg1230 cassette ?
Hi mate know this old thread but how did you find a mullet set up , thinking of trying it but would mean I need to but the 27.5 wheel so bit expensive for experimenting, currently I find the bike a lil clumbsy on slow , techs off piste sections wondering if this will make a difference
