Maybe @lar1337 can buy each of us Transmission Mechanical once it’s released 🤣

Levo Gen 4 2024 Rumours... And assorted random chat ....

The Levo followed the previous Stumpjumper design language and the new Stumpjumper no longer has a brace. Ergo it makes sense to believe the next Levo will not have one either.

Prepare your small bills, there are already pictures of it in the wild!

    New Santa Cruz model

Agreed, and I wouldn't be surprised if Cascade Components develops a link to further increase progression and also increase travel like they have for many other bikes.

Levo Gen 4 2024 Rumours... And assorted random chat ....

Yep, the same thing could be said for Bosch, Brose, and Mahle with regards to their automotive focus far out-scaling their e-bike focus given the size of the car industry compared to us relatively-measly cyclists.

Disregard my reply, I misread your reply to say frame size instead of wheel size! You are 100% correct.

SQLab Saddles: Review. Don't say I didn't warn you

As an aggressive and heavy 240lb rider I've carried the original 60X saddle over a few mountain bikes over the past several years since it was first introduced, and haven't had any issues thankfully. Obviously I don't doubt your experience as the pictures are quite evident there's an issue, but...

    Santa Cruz Vala

Just saw a green Vala at my local bike shop while dropping my Hightower off for service. Wow! Like others have mentioned, you really need to see this color in person. Beautiful color and striking combination with Fox’s kashima. Color aside, the bikes dimensions are fantastic and compared to...

    Santa Cruz Vala

I wonder if/when Cascade Components will make a link for the Vala to increase progression and travel like they've done for other 4-bar/Horst link bikes...

    Santa Cruz Vala

You should always cut or replace your handlebar with whatever suits your body best.

    Santa Cruz Vala

Probably at least 1 year after the initial launch since that's Santa Cruz's typical approach with model year color updates when the frame isn't being updated.

Hot melt wax - the journey begins

Agree with all of this and Zero Friction Cycling does state “Please note that GX level chains do not have HARDCHROME and wear VASTLY faster vs x01 & xx1 level chains” in his chain test report.

    Santa Cruz Vala

As a long time SC fan, they way I interpret it is that with motors taking over the MTB space trying to solve for climbing efficiency via dual link designs (VPP, DW, Switch, Maestro, etc) is no longer a priority because of the motor assistance. Instead, focusing on designs (Horst, High Pivot...

    Gen 5 crank compatibility

Based on Praxis’s website when comparing the cranks for old vs new Bosch they show that the Q-factor increased from 180mm on Gen4 to 188mm on Gen5 so it seems like older cranks may not be wide enough to clear the motor/frame.

He may have a loose battery so any vibration could cause it to lose power. May be worth checking that. Cascade sells a solution meant to address this on Bosch batteries.

    New Santa Cruz model

While I like the look of Crestline's bikes a lot, the design compromises you have to make to do this make the downtube look positively pregnant compared to the Vala. You can see how much further the bottom of the downtube sticks out past the edge of the cranks (as a reference point for...

    New Santa Cruz model

DJI definitely appears to be the innovation leader with best-in-class performance in the lightest overall packaging. If DJI's system is as reliable as Bosch's after a couple of years then Bosch will really have to step up their game.

    New Pivot E-bike Spotted

It could be the same or just a slight update for the new motor. It’s also in Bosch’s video from 6 days ago:
