Everything is displayed correctly, the limit is changed to 50km/hr in the software.
For the ep8 and older systems it's possible to change region and wheel size to get a higher speed limit, and this makes the indicated speed incorrect.
I've had a few rides now and it's been faultless.
I posted this on the stunlocker thread as it seemed people were struggling with the ep801 system. There's no need to struggle, just use e-max tuning. I've got nothing against stunlocker, never even seen it, but if it doesn't work for the motor system you have there's a very good alternative...
Howdy. It's not a stunlocker thing, but I've cracked my ep801. I used e-max tuning. They haven't yet released software for the ep801 but offer a personal service done remotely. Best 119 euros I've spent in a while. I needed to get my hands on a Shimano dongle to connect to my p.c. but they did...
My initial thoughts were that as the indicated speed was lower than actual, the estimated range would also be lower that the actual. Then I got to thinking about how much the battery would be affected by the increased effort of turning a larger wheel, offsetting the increased rolling efficiency...
Thanks, but not what I was after. Headsets are sold in sizes specific to the bearing cup and fitment into the frame, e.g. EC49-ZS56 would mean the top bearing is external to the frame (EC) and the bottom is internal or zero stack (ZS). I expect the numbers are either the bearing size or cup...
Can anyone tell me the headset type for an E2 please? The spec says FSA #57, but there are several of those and it doesn't give the type and sizes. I'm considering a reach adjusting headset and have been stopped at the first step.
Too much preload will make the shock feel harsh as it won't be sagged properly. It's not a great thing to adjust but it can make up for a little bit of sag. The damping is the way to go to control the ride properly. I went from a 350lb spring with moderate LSC and rebound damping (set up by the...
Have you tried adjusting your shock with the spring you're using? Bit more preload should help with sag, bit more LSC damping should help keep the bike sitting up a bit more. Too heavy a spring and you'll struggle to use the travel and the bike may ride harshly.
On a different note, I took my E2 on it's first e-uplift/ride day to Rogate yesterday. I've been there a couple of times before on my Nomad, I was keen to see what the E2 made of it.
Sheesh this bike likes to fly! I don't think I've ever felt so comfortable jumping before, cleaned a few lines I...
I'm sure there was talk of this earlier on this thread. I've not had a problem myself but I remember there was an adjustment of the latch position that sured things up. Might have been another forum, I did a lot of searching before I made my mind up.
Anyone used a 6 bolt disc on their rear wheel? I want to have a 2nd set of wheels with faster tyres for commuting, I've only got ones with 6 bolt hubs. I've seen a few magnets that bolt onto the disc, but not sure how touchy the speed sensor will be on the ep801 system.
