Most of the pictures I have seen so far wouldn't cause me any concern at all, its mostly people noticing minor cosmetic manufacturing defects, if mine developed a crack around the shock mount Id just keep riding it personally the frame is under warranty so it would not concern me in the...
its worth buying the alignment tool, I replaced my hanger the other day after destroying my original NX deurraileur the brand new one and it still needed a little tweak of adjustment to get all the gears selecting properly, even the slightest misalignment plays havoc with setting the gears.
if...
on my stereo hybrid 160 HPC SL 2020 Im looking to replace the front chainring along with basically my whole drivetrain as its worn out at around 1000 miles of off road abuse, Id like to go up to a 38 tooth front sprocket but some are listed as "boost" can someone clarify whether my bike needs...
Yes thats correct you can put it inside the plugs , mine has been trouble free for over 1000 km now and has been through a lot of mud and water in that time including river crossings.
Yes had the latest software installed from new in late July, 501 is a sensor fault just turned it off and it cleared, not seen it since and I don’t think its anything to do with the volspeed as I was going very slowly when it happened.
Ive just covered my first 1000 km on a cx 2020 gen 4 with 85nm update,
I had a 501 code about a month ago which I reset on the spot but no other issues at all.
the volspeed was installed at about 250 km from new and I set the limit around 40 kmh most of the time.
Its been through mud rain and...
This was a screenshot from a rob rides YouTube video recently posted but I cant see any other references to 504 codes and overheating, everything else I can find says its an anti tampering code ,which clearly isn’t very good at detecting tampering as it seems to appear on as many standard bikes...
504 is an overheating error isn’t it ?
I don’t see how tuning will affect temperature of the internals as the output is not changed as far as torque and peak watts are concerned just the speed limit is lifted.
I vary the speed limit every now and then depending on the ride im doing, I sometimes lower it a bit to save the battery on longer rides but generally leave it around 30 mph, im not convinced the speed limit is in any way related to the 504 code. That seems to be a theory thats just evolved from...
On my ride yesterday I experienced my first error code, thankfully only a 510 which reset with a power down and no further problems for the remaining 25 miles of the ride.
hopefully nothing to do with the volspeed box.
for info its a cx gen 4 with latest software update and just under 500...
Ive had rides of 45 miles plus on almost entirely off road surfaces on my 625 wh battery using all modes. up to 15.5 mph there is no difference as the torque output is the same with or without volspeed. the range is more affected by things like headwinds, soft surfaces, steep climbs etc and of...
I installed mine at about 50 miles from new and Im now at over 400 miles total without any faults. My Cube Stereo was updated to the latest 85nm software the day before I collected it from new so has never run the old software and the volspeed together.
id say volspeed is the best money you...
Im a big fan of flite test as I fly rc freestyle drones and planes too, yep waterproofing circuitry and connections is totally achievable if you use the right products in the right places. Im sure a lot of people who are getting sensor faults etc could just be down to moisture or contamination...
Im at about 300 trouble free miles since installing the volspeed on my gen 4 cx cube stereo hybrid with 85nm software. Definitely the best upgrade for the money. I installed it with dielectric grease packed in all the connections to keep any muck or water and corrosion out of the connections, I...
The stuff I used was aircraft stuff that was out of date for use on live aircraft(so probably ridiculously expensive) but if you look on Ebay for polyurethane adhesive sealant you'll find much the same thing,
car bond 940fc made by soudal looks like its very similar. its normally used on cars...
I like looked for a decent bash plate and found nothing worth spending money on, the rockguards one for the gen 4 looks like a piece of junk that doesn’t even fit properly plus carbon fibre is really not the best material for a bash plate as it doesn’t handle sharp point impacts well at all...
