    Assuming you are in the US with a US model Levo, the motor provides assist to 20 mph. I ride my Levo on the road all the time with my wife who does not ride on the mountain. My typical speed on the road is 16-19 mph.

    Try some ergon grips. This allows you to adjust the position of your hands and wrist and distributes the pressure more evenly. I have these on my Levo and Vado SL. Easier and less expensive than changing bars, stems, etc...

    Because of arthritis in my thumbs, I have used a grip shifter on all my mtn bikes including my Levo. It works quite well and is easier to shift more than 1 gear at a time. I am quite used to it and have no problem with shifting and braking, and no problem with inadvertent shifts.
