Cheers Chromedomey,
It's an iPhone 4S 16Gb.
It's had all but essential apps deleted, so that there's plenty of space for map files. I've been using ViewRanger since they started up on various different phones, so I've built up quite a collection of OS maps over the years.
I don't know if it's...
I cobbled this up out of an old out of contract iPhone (no sim, Airplane mode) and downloaded all my collection of ViewRanger mapping to it.
Stuck it inside a £3 eBay rubberised phone case and attached a Velcro strap so that it can be fixed to the top tube, and it's a budget Garmin!!
Happy days.
That range is seriously below what your bike should achieve.
It suggests to me that there is something wrong with it.
I'd have it checked out by a Focus dealer if I were you.
Both beauties.
Apparently the Drifter frame has the front triangle off a 29er and rear of a 27.5er.
Looks like a great bike.
I'm also a fan of the skin walls.
They remind me of Panaracer Smokes circa 1992ish !!
I ride my Jam2 using the basic factory settings.
I ride in Eco and off mostly, with a few bursts of Trail, and have only used Boost a couple of times in four months!.
I agree with what has been said earlier in this thread, in that it would be cool to be able to reduce Eco assist a little.
I'd be...
Hi Andy A,
Don't worry too much about the TEC pack.
I've got 35 miles out of a full charge on my Jam2 with 800 metres of climbing.
That's just with the integrated 378Wh battery.
So, unless you're planning epic days out, you won't really need it.
Just ride hard and conserve battery whenever...
Hi Andy A,
The Jam2 rides great.
I've been riding mtbs for 30 years and up until last summer whilst on holiday in the Taygetos mountains in Greece I had never been on an emtb, and couldn't really understand why I would want one.
My son and I hired a couple of Haibikes and I had a real 'Eureka '...
I bought my Jam2 Ltd Plus in Nov 18.
It was heavily discounted from the RRP of £3500 to £2800, so I went for it.
So, far I've converted it to tubeless (it's crazy that a Plus bike doesn't come set up as tubeless - twice as much tyre contact = double the chance of a puncture!!!), and replaced...
I have a Jam 2 Ltd Plus.
I weigh 89kgs (14 stone in old money!).
I've managed 35 miles (56km) with 2558ft (780m) climbing out of a full charge.
That was split over a 17.7 mile night ride, after which the battery indicator was showing three bars of juice left, so I didn't bother charging up. Went...
Beautiful bike Steve-Sordy, but don't worry about all the weight weenie savings, it's an emtb.
Swap the Rekon on the front for a Minion DHF and let rip
.Rekon is a great rear tyre in most instances, but a minion on the front will really bring the best out of that beautiful machine.
I've done it...
