Won't be a drama to pay again, your app was half the price of a regular coffee at Starbucks. Told you that before, your app is fantastic and, as a programmer myself, I can see the amount of time you spend writing and updating your app.
Let's face it, at the price (few bucks) Vadll was selling his app, it was almost free. I hope it's only a temporary measure from Google and that the app comes back as a paid app.
Well, I hope you get a second chance to try the Manic, because it started out as a great review!
Should you try it again, since you have a Shimano EP8 on your VLT, I would like you to pay attention to power delivery at low cadence. On this thread, it has been said that the EP8 does a better...
Trump wants to impose 25% tariffs on Canadian goods in January. If that happens, a lot of small Canadian companies won't survive. Not reassuring for companies like Rocky Mountain that are already struggling.
I have the EP8 on my Spherik (3,200 km) and the EP801 on my Rise (1,800 km). So far, no problems, but I must admit the rattle when not pedaling on rough terrain really annoys me. It's not an issue on the smooth snow trails I ride in the winter, but it's another story when rocks and roots...
Rare that someone has both tire sizes, so please tell us how they ride differently?
My Spherik SEF6 (EP8, 630Wh external battery, 26x5 studded Terrine Johnny 5):
Finally someone to talk with! ;)
There are lot's of VLT's where I live, must have crossed 5 or 6 while riding today. But I suspect they're at the end of their life cycle, since Norco has gone all Bosch for their MTBs. Almost bought one, but I went with a Spherik, I liked the idea of...
Anyways, the goal of my post was not to start a debate if wide tires are needed or not to ride on snow. There are not that many good quality E-Fats out there, so I was happy to see there is a new option available and I just wanted to share it with you.
Cheers!
Like I said, winter bike centers where I go have a 4.5 inches minimum width, if you want, I can give you their emalls, so you can tell them how ridiculous they are.
Stihldog, Winter fatbike is very popular in Québec, we have quite a few centers with great trails All of them allow E-Fatbikes, but also require that the tires are a least 4.5 inches wide (E-Fats and Fats), as narrower tires mess up the trails. No suspensions are needed with the kind of trails...
Tons of E-MTBs out there, but when it comes to Class 1 quality E-Fatbikes, one hand has enough fingers to count them all. Not surprisingly, most of them come from Canada, since we have a bit of knowledge on what works on snow. :)
The latest to arrive in our bike shop is the Manic 2 from...
So, I went to the LBS two days ago for the famous linkage creakage problem, the guy at the shop just called me to say Orbea will replace it. We'll see when the part arrives, but I'm not in a hurry, MTB season is over for me, switched to E-Fatbike season!
Here's what the warranty says:
"In no case does this warranty apply to electrical system components which have been dismounted or modified to change their functions without the prior consent of ORBEA."
So, if someone uses an app that can modify data on the motor but uses it only to read data...
DaffyD, I think your dealer is full of BS indeed. Again, I would not use an unauthorized app that can modify data on the bike. Specially if it's an EP-801 that now generates a critical error when tampered. But I doubt very much that an app like ST Ride that only reads data would void the...
We would have have to check with the programmer that wrote the ST Unlocker/ST Ride, , but I would think that ST Ride opens a Read Only bluetooth connection, while ST Unlocker opens a Read/Write connection. I doubt that ST Ride voids the warranty, since it only reads data, but I can see the...
According to a member in this group who contacted Orbea, they only replace batteries that are under warranty. I tend to believe it, I checked on the Orbea site the available replacements parts for my H10 2023, no replacement batteries.
The batteries are made by a Tawain manufacturer, not by...
