So, I know what the axle-to-crown measurement is.
Is it just as straightforward as the longer the ATC the slightly higher your front end, or is there more to it??
There seems to be very little ATC difference between forks of the same category. Like if you took the standard 180 29er fork off...
Yeah really interesting, I saw a post on YouTube where Phil offered me that. He said he had the bikes because he sponsored an E-EWS team. Interesting neither he nor Pole, who I've been talking to, have mentioned 'dealership' or 'representation' in the context of Seton Tuning Ltd. I have spoken...
Yeah, you're right. On paper, that paper, I'm a K1 but they USED to say, if you wanted speed and stability go K2. They've taken the 'playful' vs. 'speed' sizing dimension away now
I mean, you're right, I do like 470 Reach but I liked 470 Reach in the context of the rest of that bike (Mondraker Level RR). Like the Mondraker Wheel base and Front Centre is significantly shorter than a K2 Voima, while the K2 Voima has a Reach of 480.
Current bike (Carbon Crafty XR) at 460...
In the second vid you sent, with him on a K1, it definitely looks smaller with him on it and in no way looks like he's riding a big bike. If anything, it just looks 'heavy' in that footage to me. In the vid where he is on a K2, it looks right. This whole K1 or K2 thing is doing my head in. I...
Ahh ............ so my eye's are quite well trained then :D I thought it looked bigger than a 450 Reach against his height. He was still hammering those tight twisty lines on it. Thanks for the info and second vid 👍
Just watched that video you posted. That K1 doesn't look small on him at all when seated pedalling at 178mm height.
His knees look much further away from the bar than I thought they would be for someone at 178mm pedalling a K1. His stem doesn't look like a 50mm either and his bar rise (in that...
Is the relationship between fork offset and wheelbase direct ??
So that if you put a Fork on that has say, a -5mm less offset than the fork the bike manufacturer puts on the bike, then you just reduce the wheelbase by 5mm from the manufacturers stated Geo chart??
I guess reducing offset...
I see there are two speed sensor options offered for Voima orders :
Internal Sensor + Rim Magnet
Swingarm Sensor + Disc Magnet
Is one of these a better/easier option for after market derestriction kits??
I didn't say it was special. Whatever they are doing that allows me to comfortably ride a bike of 470 Reach and 1270 Wheelbase at 174cms tall is working very well for me. On average, Mondraker's wheelbase's are longer than normal for the equivalent Reach in other mainstream brands. It's not just...
Yeah agreed. Most have moved in Mondraker's direction for sure. I think their Forward Geometry concept was one of, if not the first of the long / low / slack gigs.
They are still big though. My first Mondraker was the 2021 Level RR. For a Med, it had a 470 Reach and 1270 Wheelbase. So definitely...
You're exactly same height as me and one of the few in our height range that are saying definitely K2.
I'm used to a Med Mondraker Level RR at 470 Reach and 1270 Wheelbase. So much bigger than the usual mainstream 2023 Med sizing. That's why what you've said has really caught my attention...
I know what Q factor is but very few Bosch crank options quote it. I found one manufacturer quoting theirs at 186mm
How do you take a view on it ?
If you buy a full build and it has say, RaceFace Aeffect on it and you pop off to get some E13 Carbon Race purely because you want some pimp, you...
Long time rider but switched to eBikes 3 yrs ago. Never looked back. Always hated pedalling between or to session trails. Currently riding this and thinking of adding a Voima to it for Burly days. You'd never guess, I'm having difficulty with Voima sizing though 😂😂
