Tend to go for Shimano drivetrain. Had XT on my analogue bike for 8 years and other than wear and tear its never missed a beat.
Usually end up with Hope brakes, even have their RX calipers on my road bike.
Hi there,
I have a 2022 Wild M10 and have regular pad rub on the rotors and wondered if anyone else has the same issue. This seems to happen when the bike is in anyway leaned so wondering if possible that the wheels need tensioning but I have only done around 550kms.
If you ever follow any bike fitters on Youtube its surprising what you pick up. Yes they are mainly for roadies but some of it does transfer to mtb position.
I had a fit on my roadie (don`t hate me) and made a big difference to comfort.
I found the reach on my large Orbea Wild a bit short when descending so just removed the 780mm 35mm riser bars and put some 31.8mm Enve DH bars on, 800mm wide with a 25mm rise
Its all down to design, U tend to see lots of pictures of failures in Alloy frames around the welds either down to poor heat or fatigue around the welds. Carbon if done properly you shouldn't see fatigue failures that often. Hitting a tree in any material means your bikes fubar anyway.
Always...
