I too consider a detachable battey to be an absolute requirement and will echo reasons previously stated. I remove the battery for transport on my 1.25” hitch rack. In inclement weather I bring the batteries indoors to charge. In fact, purchased two Treks, a Powerfly and a Rail, because their...
Hello ladies,
Any of you out there wear the Leatt Airflex chest protector with the padded under shirt? If so, please do tell what size do you wear and please provide your height and weight. I’ll start by stating that I am 5’7” (170cm) and 130lbs
(57 kg) And not sure if the medium will be...
Before the megneg - I felt like I was sinking too much into the travel when I was climbing or out on xc type trail days - but at the same time I wasn’t able to use all my travel. The megneg makes it so I have a nice pedaling platform - without the wallow - but I also get full travel on my...
I second the megneg choice if you want to keep price down. It does take some experimentation to set it up right, (for me - three rides) but once done - it’s done and it works well.
Price is one reason I went with a Hardtail ( For myself - any bike over 4000 better have a motor 😊 ) I built the Yelli with “hand-me-down” parts from other bikes so didn’t cost me much to build - weighs 25.25 lbs with pedals. Depending on your riding style, the specialized epic HT or fuse might...
I Love my Rail, but recently I purchased myself a Canfield Yelli Screamy Hardtail for riding xc trails where ebikes are illegal And find I LOVE riding the hardtail- probably due to being so much healthier and more fit and 20lbs lighter from riding the emtbs because of the ability and desire to...
Hello, How do you like the Nyon for trail riding? Do you use the custom modes? I would love to see pics of your custom settings. Also, do you find yourself using the GPS for navigation? I installed a Nyon on my HT adventure bike but am considering installing one on my eMTB for the custom...
Wow! Thank you for that great feedback! I did purchase another larger capacity battery to use while I figure out if these batteries can be revived somehow either through balancing ( charges to full) or repair.
Thank you - Absolutely will be researching - I have a lot of mechanical skills but very minimal understanding of electricity/ batteries. At least I won’t be in a hurry now that I have a replacement battery on the way.
Hi Wayne! And Neeko! Thank you for your feedback. I did some more internet searching and found an article that indicated my batteries might not have smart BMS’s… (?) so not sure if I can top balance? But whatever the case - I decided to purchase a new battery (more watt hours with a smart BMS)...
Actually - I just tested one of the mini-cubes on a different motor - a TSDZ2 (almost forgot
About this one!) and the battery cut
Out on that motor Too! So- the issue must be the batteries!
Thanks for your feedback - I will be changing the contacts to spark resistance xt90’s, it is strange that this is happening to both batteries - and maybe it was a bad run- I contacted the seller (a well-known reputable North American dealer) but they have not responded to my inquiries yet. I...
Hi Neeko,
Here’s those screen shots. And yes, I may have to resign myself to purchasing new batteries, but it is baffling that it is happening to both of my batteries. At the time of this shut down I had the controller limited to 15.
The battery I have is the 6Ah 48V 30amp Samsung mini-cube with 30q cells. Don’t know if this would be helpful but here is the graph from EggRider of my ride showing the power cut - the first image is zoomed in.
