My motor ran quietly under light to moderate load but when I’d go up any pitch that required more oomph it sounded like a small freight train. “Chugga chugga chugga chugga chugga.”

The motor on my Transition Relay would get loud and rattle under load, then the power would cut in and out. I only bought it a couple of months ago and it's currently out of service in the bike shop waiting for a replacement motor and battery. I figured that I'd get this taken care of before...

Would carrying a 2nd battery inside a backpack be out of the question for you? I've been considering buying a 2nd battery for longer days.

I don't know if their e-bike specific wet lube is any different than their plain old wet lube but their plain old wet lube also leaves a gunky mess.

The most fit I've ever been was when I exclusively rode singlespeeds. They get you into that HIIT workout by default.

I do get a higher intensity workout with the non-eMTB, and I love the lung burn from it. I can't seem to hit those highs with the eMTB.

Yesterday I rode my non-eMTB (Transition Spire) for the first time since getting a Relay while the Relay is in the shop with Fazua motor issues. Even though I'm enamored with the Relay, I have to say that riding the Spire was still super fun. I don't see myself getting rid of non-eMTBs any time...
