I fitted di2 to my 2019 Jam with 11 speed, very easy with the E8000 but you have to change the software from manual to electronic shifting.
I've just recently fitted Di2 to my Bosch powered Focus Thron and it was much more involved as it doesn't work with the bosch electrics.
It needed a...
My 2019 Jam2 is now on its 3rd battery, all replaced under warranty fortunately.
The first one lasted 1500kms and then as above wouldn't turn, charger just showed a couple of green blinks and then a red led. As the bike was relatively new at the time it was replaced by the LBS.
When the second...
2019 Focus Jam2 Plus C just over 9,000km carting this 69 y/o 100kg fat bastard around, very high percentage of rough singletrack and downhill in that 9k and it's still as good as new.
Personally I've never liked tubeless because of the mess so when I came across Joe's tubes already filled with long life sealant that you don't have to top up I fitted them to my Focus Jam2 C with 27.5 Maxxis Rekon Plus.
They've now been fitted for several years, nearly 9,000km and through...
Yes it works it is just a dumb four way connector, no electronics etc in it.
It is used just to connect up to four cables.
I have used it to connect the derailleur to the display on the handlebars, I didn't really need to, I could have run one cable all the way from the display to the...
There is a junction box for the sd50 connectors, it's a JC41E, has four connections, it's tiny , appoximately 12mm wide, 6mm thick and sbout 25mm long, it's buried in the frame so a bit hard to measure exactly.
All the bits arrived and the bike is now back together and the Di2 bits all work really well, the only hiccup was trying to get the phone and the MT800 display to connect through the bluetooth.
The phone could see the display but when the app asked for the pin number to allow pairing it only...
I had the right hand switch fail when the end/hook part of the top spring snapped off, this caused the levers to float around a bit and gave me weird gear changes. As we were away travelling at the time I carefully bent the next part of the spring into a hook and refitted it. It's now been...
Bringing an old thread back to life from my research the Bosch Y cable and EX010 is only when an Alfine geared hub is used, it won't work with a derailleur setup. The Y cable replaces the main cable in the bike between the battery and the motor and has a connector to connect to the EX010 which I...
I've put 9,000kms on my 2018 Focus Jam Plus C carbon frame, while there have been quite a few track, gravel and bitumen road rides in that 9k most of it has been done in the dirt on single track, while I rarely get any air (I'm in my late 60's and 100kg) it has stood the test of time well and is...
We have 1100w of solar and 400ah of lithium batteries in our campervan, we have no lpg and are mostly electric with diesel heating and HWS and camp off grid 90% + most of the time.
We have two Focus eMTB's, a Thron and a Jam and regularly recharge both through the 1800w inverter after riding...
Tony so how did you get the battery case apart? I've had a bit of a go but it's glued together pretty well plus there is no way to access the tubes where the mounting bolts pass through , my Jam is a carbon frame so the battery might be different.
My Jam did the same after wet weather and a wash so I'll have a go at disassembling the battery and finding the reset button. I did find a little bit of corrosion in both the charge port and the battery multi connector and cleaned both up with a good dose of contact cleaner and soft cloth.
Once...
