@nineT larger drive sprocket (chainring) rotates slower. Similarly, on a motorcycle, the rpm is reduce when you add more teeth to the front sprocket. Watch the first 6 min of this vid that explains "tall gearing" vs "short gearing". To make it easier to visualize which chainring rotates faster...
@Eddy Current i hope you understand that i'm trying to help out here. from the chart, depending on which gears you select, there is an increase of more than 2mph.
i suggest to try it out yourself. the parts aren't that expensive.
@Eddy Current
see this little piece that's sticking up? trim it.
trim it parallel to the cover (not vertical)
then sand it down or file it down so it's level with the cover
i don't feel like taking a pic of the actual tools i used but i used these
with the 36T (tall gearing), your...
Did this ride this morning and took the same route back. I tried to shift under load as often as I could and the chain never came off. It may not come off as long as the clutch on my rear derailleur is on. Also this trail is short and have never needed to bring the Overtime pack on this trail...
The chain was a concern so I went to a local high school and rode up 4 flight of stairs, rode down 18 flights of stairs, and did some 2 foot ledge drops and the chain stayed on.
I run the same 36T Wolf Tooth chainring on my 2019 Motobecane (same as Vitus E-Sommet) and the chain has never...
Thank you all for the assist with the rear shock dimensions.
I've been running the cane creek DBcoil IL and Overtime battery pack for 4 months now. I've found that the Overtime pack is the perfect compliment to the Mountain Tuning Tool (MTT). Without it, the main battery drains quick especially...
But to give credit where credit is due. @norrit did an exceptional job covering the install on the new battery mount for people who decides to go that route. Thank you @norrit
@Shane228mtb check out the entire post (pages 4 and 5).

I even covered how to mod the existing lower mount so you can skip from buying the new mount (if you choose). I also covered which E-Tube...
I'm probably not qualified to answer since the area of California where I'm from doesn't get that sloppy. But I'm like you, I run Marys all year around after coming from DHF/DHR and Butcher and Rekon. ATM two of my e-mtbs (2019 Motobecane and motorized 2017 Session 88) are running Marys and...
I'm know I'm reviving this thread but I was rocking a Trust Shout on my 2019 Motobecane (same as a Vitus E-Sommet) for 8 months. Two weeks ago, I recently swapped back to my Push Industries modified ACS3/HC97 Rockshox Lyrik. Not because I didn't like the Trust Shout but I have a 2020 Rocky...
I searched this forum and didn't find any discussion on it but I'm looking for measurements on the rear shock (eye to eye) for the 2020 Instinct Powerplay A50 BC. The original shock is a Fox Float Dpx2 Performance.
I have this bike arriving in 8 days and would like to order a Cane Creek DB IL...
Yup, I definitely would recommend Cushcore.
I have very, very bad luck when it comes to pinch flats. Sometimes I'd get them after 1 mile into a trail ride but since Cushcore, I haven't had a single pinch flat. Now all my emtbs have Cushcore.
However, the installation can be a pain but I use...
@paquo dude, are you serious? She is beyond beautiful.
Gents @BasicDude @paquo @JetSedgwick we should meet some place half way like at Skeggs or Purisma and ride. Maybe you guys can teach me. I have problems taking corners above 36 mph on my e-mtb, I tend to go too wide. Like sweeping corners...
@paquo she's super cute. Can I eat her face? jk
I'm not sure how big my avatar shows up for you but the Blue Heeler in the pic is the latest member of my family, his name is Reckless. The Pitty is Tazi.
Who's not in the avatar pic is Tazi's belated bother, Crash.
Crash was my OG mountain...
@Juhas Sounds similar.
I agree with @OldGoatMTB on greasing and tightening everything for creaking noises. For me, I usually start with inspecting my frame bearings, check for chain stretch (i use Park Tool CC-2), and check the chainring to see if it's still centered.
