Here in Australia I think next years bikes are going to get more expensive for the new models as our $ has crashed, not sure about other currencies but I expect it too follow.
This bike is a good opportunity for ebikes, I have just picked up a Giant fastroad and there were not many manufacturers with bikes in this segment to choose from.
The new tuned is probably one of the better bikes around, it has very good kit and is a really good package.
not sure why we don’t get the tuned ebike in Australia apparently they don’t feel the demand is there we can only get the 910 and above.
It gets easier after a few times of attaching, I took mine back when I first got it as I thought it was faulty.
I agree it’s not really a great design.
Surely only taking into account the climbing part of a ride the SL is going to lose but rides have flat and downhill and the balance overall would be better for comparison.
I really like the fact that the SL feels more like a real bike and I have to work harder, I am 100kgs.
I also have a...
I may have a faulty plug or cable the range extender does not seem to fit very tight and when you turn the arm to lock it the cable is still loose and can easily be bumped off.
Bit of a broad statement I have a 3 year old Scott with a Shimano motor and it has not missed a beat.
Not sure about specialized as the bike specs don’t seem to match the price they are asking, I have heard Giant have very good support and seem to be value for money.?
It seems strange that you are asking others to convince you to buy something you haven’t even taken the time to go and test ride.
Is the lockdown and boredom making you think of things that you might like ?
once its over your existing hobbies will likely take up your time again.
The battery is because of its size and they will need to address this but it has not stopped me from doing what I need to.
i do think e bikes will evolve quite quickly over the next few years which will make today’s bikes feel very dated the 710 is a gen 1 product so the newer bikes do feel nicer.
I have just bought a 910 Strike Eride and am not sure about the Bosch motor it feels a bit more sluggish than the Shimano
I also have the genius 710 still.
