How are you transporting your Merida?

Just like analog bike. Thule ProRide 598. Just remove battery first and you are ready to go.

Shimano Steps E8000 locking ring tool

Remove pedal and open chainring bolts, that’s all. No special tools needed.

    Shimano release Steps E7000 groupset

My guess is that E7000 will be used on Trail bikes ( 130 mm travel or less ) and E8000 on Enduro bikes

    Shimano release Steps E7000 groupset

I assume that weight difference is quite minimal though..? 60 Nm max sounds good enough. Have already tried that setting with Freemax and that's enough atleast for me... just like SLX is, in my opinion, best value for money.

    Shimano release Steps E7000 groupset

Wonder what's the point with this motor...it's pretty close to E8000. If it's much cheaper then there is a point.

Specialized release 2019 Kenevo Comp £4250

Sorry, but I have to disagree ? We have both Merida Eone Sixty 800 and Turbo Levo FSR. In my opinion It is true what all Emtb tests say...Levo is a good bike but cant really compete with Merida. Both bikes are joy to ride but on any given day I’d choose Merida.

    Trek Launches 2019 Powerfly Range...

Otherwise Trek looks ( especially battery system ) good but long chainstay and motor from the past make it more or less obsolete.

    The haters!!!!

In the long run people tend to choose just what is the most fun....that is why it is easy to predict bright future for Ebikes.

    Updates and fine tuning

Freemax works also as range extender very well. I decreased the support by about 25 percent for each mode (from lowest values, but increased max newton for Eco mode 30 >50 Nm ) and I can tell that it saves the battery considerably and still there is enough support everywhere. Highly recommend.

    The haters!!!!

Kind of understand haters...it is very annoying to realise that somebody is having more fun than they do..?

    Updates and fine tuning

You can adjust all support levels and max power output for each assist mode(whatever values you like) if you happen to own Shimano SM PCE1 device and download this free Freemax, not Emax, software here: eMax - english Of course at your own risk but i am very happy with it.

    Thule proride 598

Pipo- do you get much movement at speed or round corners? Atleast I can’t hear anything so it must fit quite well ?. After about 1000 km no problems so far. It is tight so you may have cut a tiny bit of rubber but fits then well. Naturally F1 kind of driving won’t be good idea, easy turns etc...
