Bigger rotors should help, also is it mainly the rear that's cooking? If so you need to brake more with the front, I was guilty of this when I started DH, boiling the fluid, blue discs, always the rear, learnt how to use the front brake and bingo, no more problems.....

Don't think you'll need it, went from 165 to 155 on my Decoy, and 170 to 152 on the wife's Lapierre, aside from it feeling a bit different, from a motor assist viewpoint nothing needed tweaking......
You can't "add" spacers, only move the existing ones around, ie if you currently have spacers above the stem, you can reposition those under the stem to raise the bars by that much. If not, or that's not enough for you, then you'll need bars with more of a rise.......
