Hi Paul,
Is it possible that your good lady has to select Boost mode regularly, to keep up with you? By doing that she would drain the battery faster than you. Or perhaps you ride in Eco mode out of respect for Jackie, while she is riding in Trail mode?
I am relatively new to eMTB so these are...
Hey McF, take it easy and you will ramp-up fast... I am in my 50’s and I am delighted with the added advantage of eMTB.
I normally keep up with the youngsters on a straight road, but I take strain uphill... no more [emoji41]
Oh, I see... I am not that bothered with absolute max we can wring-out of the bike. I am more concerned about usability and practicality.
Anyway, is it fair to conclude that since 100km/h = 62.1371 mph, we can multiply our current wheel circumference by 0.621371, to get our speedometer on the...
I upgraded to Premium App version and I am delighted!
The App is well designed, connect to the bike without any gymnastics, settings easy to change and save.
I have a follow-up nob question. My front wheel is 29”, rear is 27.5”.
Is the US + 1300mm still correct for the front 29” and rear 27.5”?
Today I went for a ride with my mates on analogue MTBs... they were surprisingly understanding, although there were some comments of going to the dark side [emoji2]
Anyway, to ride in a group I was switching between ECO and OFF, occasionally going to Trail. I expect more eMTBs in the woods...
I bought the $0.99 app
May I get few answers before I buy premium version?
1. Is it possible to increase speed limit to 40 km/h?
I read on this forum that it can be done by changing the wheel size. So, when the display shows 25 km/h it is actually doing 25 mph or 40 km/h
2. Do you plan to...
Thanks ZF for a reference point. It is what it is... diff terrain, diff rider, and of course diff planetary alignment.
One of these days we will get higher density batteries so the range will improve. In the meantime, we have to live with the current tech limitations.
First user error/equipment failure!
So I went for my ride to the woods.
The battery indicator showed 2 of 4 bars, which translates to roughly 50%. Well, not entirely, during the ride second bar disappeared and after a while on 1-bar, the battery died!?
So I have done 17km today on electric...
If I may, what is the best single eMTB towbar carrier?
I have a Thule roof rack which works well for my analogue MTB (under 10kg)
I wouldn’t want to mount, drive and dismount +20kg eMTB from my roof rack [emoji51]
Finally got some mud on the tyres. The bike is solid, no loose rattling bits! It is well planted on the ground and glides through the woods like a wind.
It is a blaaast to go bundu-bashing at +20 km/h, with full suspension working overtime.
Also, I managed to crank-up 38 km/h on a tar road...
I read that the battery location is to improve weight distribution and lower the centre of gravity.
Also, full frame with ext-battery is stronger than one with a cut-out to hide battery inside the frame. At least with this specific frame section/profile.
The shape is probably less attractive...
Tx ZF! I like the design... a lot!
The furry thing is actually a chair behind the glass window [emoji102] well spotted though.
Another friend told me that it looks like I am stroking a white cat... [emoji41]
