You will have to trial a bike to best see. I came from a trek ex and i can testify jumping is possible on a big 21kg emtb... just a way differnt feel and set of skills. Way harder to correct when in the air.
I have just bought a 252wh extender for my 2019 Jam2, and have only been on 2 rides with it.
On both rides i am finding the bike shutdown seemingly for no reason while using the extender. It has occurred over a dozen times. Sometimes i get 5 mins sometimes only a few seconds before it shuts...
Beautiful looking rig. Dont worry re age.. im 57 and the great think about mtb alike surfing is no one cares about age ... just that you are diing what you enjoy.
And theres not too much bike... just take your time and ride to your ability .
Enjoy
Went to trek store 3 days ago here in canberra australia. They just got rail 7 and 9 in. Basically told buy it today else you wint see again fir at least next order in 3_4 months.
I recently bought the ixs trigger . Light and has harness for a good fit. ( some just use the padding)
I had to buy from the gravity cartel out of canada but it got to australia in 6 days.
Lots of pine forest trails here in canberra. Dangerous to ride in windy conditions after heavy rains as those pine tree puppies not havr much of a root system .
When i built my house i skimped on heaps of stuff i regret now. I had a budget stuck to it but missed on some features i now wish i had. There is a moral there somewhere.
Then again $1500 would pay for one great mtb get away...
I suggest trek have a better sales network so that probably...
Hey thanks for the offer..by happenstance I met someone on the trail whom has given details of a specialist suspension guy who though mainly motocross orientated has built some mtb bike frames. I will give this guy a go first
