'20 Stereo 160 (625)
I get a constant knocking/rattle from the front end of the bike if I roll over small concrete cobbles, like this sort of thing:
It's recently had a new Superstar headset fitted which doesn't appear to have any play and I don't think I can feel any play in the forks (hard...
I often use my Cube for getting about locally in urban environments to visit people and the 170/160 is a bit of a dog to hop up curbs but I guess when I'm out on the trails 180 would be just fine. It'll probably boil down to price though, I want a new bike this time because I've been buying...
Actually I did have my eye on that initially but we ruled it out before I got the Cube because it might be a bit too much to handle doing mainly trail riding due to its travel and triple crowns. Also I'll be buying new this time so it's a fair bit more expensive too.
So yeah, it's a more trail...
27.5" front and rear just suits me so I don't want to get into the whole 27.5" vs 29" debate here (yes I've ridden a 29" off road 😎).
I currently have a '20 Cube Stereo 160 (625wh) and my current plan to replace it is either with another Cube Stereo 160 (750wh) either '22 or '23 depending on...
Ah yeah my bad. My '20 has the 625wh. Maybe I can pick up a cheap new '22 bike then rather than a '23 bike. Only thing my '20 doesn't have is the ability to connect to an app, I'd like ECO mode to just have a tiny bit more assist.
After an initial setup and quick ride in my street I think that's fixed it so cheers lads. All it took was a new mech, mech hanger and gear cable and it seems to have setup perfectly 🤣
I'll get the Wife to setup the B screw again later on when I'm sat on the bike as for now I've had to do it...
For reference I spoke to my local Cube dealer recently and the warranties are not transferrable. If you remained friendly with the original owner then they could submit any warranty claims on your behalf though.
Seems like the GX range is definitely worth the extra then over the NX range. Not sure how I managed to order the wrong one, I'm usually more careful than that. At least I have the right one now.
