I believe that one weighed 46lbs or 21kg.... but we've made some changes to that bike since that version so just get in touch for an actual current weight if interested and of course we can make any changes to the bike that you would want.
Yeah I don't think any of our customers have wanted to sell their eSummit. We have some demos here at the shop you may be interested in. We actually have customers buying 2nd ones now for their winter and summer homes.
Oooooops, YES I was agreeing with you.... we are on same page: external batteries are lighter but the bike industry does not think they look as cool. Thanks for your explanation of the internal batteries using the metal case, that makes sense and sounds familiar.
So our V4 Diode bikes are...
Hi, so I have to respectfully disagree with all you say, reasons below.
External batteries do not look as stealth to be sure, but they are much lighter. The reason for this is the plastic case Shimano uses on an external battery and also when you do an external battery it is just resting on the...
Hi Alex, sorry you had to listen to all the posts just talking about normal eMTBs when you were asking about a full sus eFat.... so to best of my knowledge LaMere Cycles makes the only full suspension full carbon eFat using the Shimano motor, with our custom made cranks. People are blown away by...
Or you could just order exactly what you want from LaMere Cycles.... maybe a 45.4lb eMTB with 5" of travel, the new EP8 motor and 630Wh battery like this one attached..... or a bigger 720Wh battery and bigger suspension..... just sayin.....
We just put this sub 46lb eMTB out the door here and its an XL with a Lyric and the bigger 630wh Shimano battery. Oh man we are going to miss the external battery frames so much lighter and easier to swap batteries on.... we know they don't look as cool...... but would like to get feedback from...
Can't believe Specialized is sticking with Brose and so many people are still buying them..... I'm sure Brose will figure it out eventually but sheeesh.... we literally never have any problems with all the Shimano, Yamaha, and Bosch motors we put out the door. I hope Brose can figure things out...
Hey this is JP owner of LaMere Cycles in Minneapolis.... sorry about this bummer news..... I'll get you a price just above our cost on any Bulls or Haibike if you want and free shipping just get in touch..... or we can build you up one of our sweet carbon eMTB bikes with Shimano motor.
Ride the LaMere eSummit, only eFat bike on planet Earth with Shimano motor that fits every wheel and tire size, even 5" Johnny 5 tires on big 100mm rims!
I wish you could ride our eSummit.... the range is pretty amazing, on Trail mode on the Shimano motor gets almost the same range as our Diode eMTB on Trail mode. The bigger tires, at 10psi I think just float over the ground so well the range does not suffer as much as you'd think.
We will literally NEVER do a Bafang bike again, we've done the Bafang motor on 4 different bikes and EVERY single one had issues.... the Shimano and Yamaha motors never have any issues. We sell bikes to real cyclists that clip in and pedal and want super range and some awesome boost, we are...
Here's a short video showing the amazing traction you get with this bike with 27.5x4.0 tires and this is me (JP) with 9 stitches in my foot so just wait for better video soon! I swear I'm faster on this setup than our normal eMTB bikes on twisty singletrack:

We're so excited to release this bike, what we've always wanted in an eFat Bike: ability to fit big 27.5 wheels with true 4.5" tires, Shimano E8000 motor, full suspension, full carbon, fast XC geo but still with a nice high BB height of 380mm with Cake Eater 27.5x4.5 tires or 363mm with Cake...
Well if you want the lightest 5" travel eMTB we would love to build you up a LaMere Diode any way you like with the Shimano E8000 motor and XT or XTR Di2 shifting that runs off the main battery. Once you get an eMTB down to around 40lbs it rides like a regular bike almost, so you can catch nice...
Could not agree more, weight does make a difference on the eBike for handling and catching air..... once you get a bike down to 42lbs or so like our 150mm travel carbon LaMere Diode you really don't need more than a 500wh battery.
