Ahh coolio your making progress then, the EXT fork looks nuts. The one upgrade I'd like to do is bin the air shock on the Voima and get a coil EXT with HBC🤙
Yeah, who decided that DH frames need a 150mm axle but an 'enduro' frame needs 148mm, why not the same???? Putting a 12 speed and...

NickyTee - how you getting on with the Fox 40's? I was wondering if a set of current lowers would fit all the older components - plus you can fart your forks when you feel the need :ROFLMAO: ??
Worth the upgrade to DHL, my Voima was sent on a Friday and I got it Tues the next week, as you can pay the import duty online before its even left. Experience with bike parts sent from Europe and Parcelfarce was about 4 weeks of waiting agony nightmare!
Owh bet you wish you still had the Brookline, there nuts! A coil for the modern 40's would be great.
Its bonkers just how small DH (and all?) bikes where back only around 10 years ago? The foes 2:1 I've got is large but feels like a small?! I've only ridden DH bikes and trails for years then...
Fantastic, it looks a little like the amazing Brookline Machine works, remember that? I also rode those grey Fox 40's for years, I'm kinda missing the ti spring they used to have, it's all fluffy air now
My other old DH rigs where a Karpiel Armageddon 11inchs travel, GT IT Gearbox bike...
Yes I figured the the mudguard will fowl the lower crown if I bottom out so I've put in a extra token in and upped the pressure a bit to prevent a bottom out? I'm not allowed medically to do any harsh loads on my body till next year so it's all about mincing around doing easy stuff with no...
Hey NickyTee, here's some pics of the K3 Voima with 2022 Fox 40, I just fully compressed them as well to check clearance and did a bit measuring for you. I'm using Hope selecta headset 1.1/8", ZS44/28.6 - Type 2 and 1.5", ZS56/40 - Type E with a 1/5 to 1/8 reducer.
Pics below to give you more...
I did these pics a long while ago, the pic below is the nearest to what you're asking for, the Voima is forward a bit. I remember it not being ideal as the bikes won't sit together in line on the BB because the bars clash etc? Also the bikes are sitting on a upslope from the door at the rear...
Thought I'd throw these pics up for a bit historical reference:cool::LOL:
There roughly all in line on at the bottom brackets, although the Voima is more forward a bit, you can judge the difference between the frame sizing, reach and wheel bases etc. First bike is a 2009 DH Foes Mono 2:1 26...

It was a deal breaker for me, either find a way to take the load off the arms riding the Voima or sell it? I was getting arm, shoulder and hand fatigue even after only short rides of an hour or less. The aggressive seat post angle pushes all your weight forward even when peddling on the flat...
Like all things its about personal preference - I do have knuckle draggingly long arms, finding jackets and tops with long enough arms is difficult for me, so my bike sizing is a bit odd with a preference for a longer top tube/reach distance?
Once the seat is dropped it feels very long in a K3...
Its a bit odd for me, I'm 183cms, my 'normal' ride a SC Nomad in XL is around 75cms longer in reach saddle to bars than the Voima, so I found the K3 sized Voima seated was like riding a medium sized bike and was loading up my hands, arms and shoulders to much on a ride resulting in fatigue. So I...
Fox 40's are 2022 and are super tight on the headtube, would be great if Pole reduced the headtube by 10mm to give more leeway? I'm using a hope headset which is fairly low profile and also a 1/5 to 1/8 headtube reducer which adds to the stack height unfortunately? Frame is a K3 with a seat...
Recommend upgrading to DHL shipping, got mine in 3 days (after a ten month wait! Great they've got it down to building it in two weeks now?) and you can prepay the customs before it leaves Finland so goes straight to your door? My experience with ordering other gear overseas and going via...
Yeah I completely agree, I find its better with higher BB, more clearance with long cranks and you smash over large obstacles without grounding etc? Also even though its the biggest and longest bike I've owned its still very nippy in the turns? Just down to rider preference, skill levels and...
