Installed Volspeed V3 today to Trek Rail 5 and it was quite straightforward.
Will be intresting to see how Bosch's new powerupgrade firmware will work with Volspeed. Hopefully they will go first on test it.
I have a 2020 Trek Rail 5 and Rockshox 35 Gold RL forks also. After the 300km the forks have become very very sticky so that I can see the forktubes vibrating when braking with front brake.
I changed all oils to 2.5 Silkolene RFS oil and greased all o-rings etc. seals with Renolit RHF. The end...
Any updated thoughts on repair stands? 10.2 is apporx 200 euros and PRS-25 ~190euros more.
How about Pro-Elite from Feedback sports? I'm thinking if the legs are a bit better on Parktool as they are not so on the way.

Why should they care about some minority if the normal products sell good?
Integration to Garmin would be nice feature, but I’m not holding my breath. They seem to build their own ecosystem.
Just installed pair of cushcores. If you watch their video, it’s not anything special than ordinary tire install. Tire&roll + push the bead in and use soapwater in right places.
If you don’t watch it and try outsmart the instructions, then all hell breaks loose.
Garmin GPSMAP 66ST seems to be very exact as tracker and it seems to be good compromise as bicycle and adventure device. Mounting to the handlebar will need a bit fixing as zip ties are not enough to keep it in place when riding in rough terrain. For bicycle only use it might be a bit overkill...

I thought flipping the chip is something that you can change in rearshock mounting and different than Trek Minolink.
Would you agree with these possible assumptions:
It is quite rare to get error 504 with Volspeed V3 in cases where:
the bike has Bosch 1.0.3.0 firmware
you keep the max speed around 30 kmh
you don't drive very long very fast (over 30km@45kmh)
you wait the countdown after your ride
I don't own...
I wonder what's different in my Trek Rail 5 2020 as I have not recognized any battery rattle. The motor has it's own CX Gen4 sound when freewheeling downhill but the battery seems to be perfect fit.
32kmh would be more than fine. I quite rarely hit more than 25kmh deep in the forest trails but on gravel it would make sense.
Could it be so, that possibility for errorcode with Volspeed V3 is lower if you don't ride too fast like 32kmh vs 45kmh?

Mine is arriving next week. Can confirm here.
Three tours and first 50km with Rail 5 and first impressions are:
- Engine feels powerful. I somehow even seem to like the sound
- The rear derailleur took a battle with branch and snapped broken. GX will replace.
- Rear wheel is already a bit twisted and one spoke took damage when derailleur...
Interested in buying one, but seems like there's a bit uncertainty in the air. I think I'll just observe the situation 2 months more to see where it goes.
Currently with my rides and skills I don't really need more than 25 km but on gravel roads it would make sense.
